Hey everyone,

 

I've been playing clocks for about 4 years now but there is one part that i still dont know quite right. When chris sings, "nothing else compares." Does anyone know this part chords wise, I cant figure out how he plays it live or in acoustic settings. On all the online videos, they just reverse the regular progression, which if you listen to Chris play it acoustic, its definetely not played like that. Any help anyone could give me i would be much appreciative.

Well Its simple, ill upload a clip tomorrow if u still dont know it. My friend has trouble with that bridge too.

Actually sorry. I use c and f on guitar for that bridge lol

Chords for the main riff are: Eb Bbm Bbm Fm. Right? The thing is that some of them are inverted. So the keys you press to play the riff are:

Eb Bb G Eb Bb G Eb Bb

Db Bb F Db Bb F Db Bb

Db Bb F Db Bb F Db Bb

C Ab F C Ab F C Ab

 

Okay so the chords for the bridge are: Gb Gb Db Fm. See? Two chords are new but the last one stays the same. And they're also inverted. So actually at this moment Chris plays:

 

Gb Db Bb Gb Db Bb Gb Db

Gb Db Bb Gb Db Bb Gb Db

Db Ab F Db Ab F Db Ab

C Ab F C Ab F C Ab

 

Easy right? The chord progression changes a little because Chris plays the first chord twice, not the second (Bbm) as he did throughout the song earlier.

And one more thing. He plays that 3 times. And noooothing else compaaaares. But when it comes to the forth time, he plays the first chord (Gb) 4 times instead of 2. Then main riff again.
