"What type of music do you like?"

 

That question is kind of hard to answer, for me.

Perhaps the answer should be 'Not your type', assuming that over here the music is rather American mainstream.

 

But maybe if the question is answered in terms of genre, then it's easier. Or maybe not because it's possible to like many genres.

 

 

 

What do you normally answer when someone asks you that question?

i don't care to label much what music i like, but if we have to label, clasify it in genres, i'll say i'm varied.

i can listen from reggae to classical music, from metal to powerpop, from country and folk to orchestra and choirs, from jazz to electronica, if that gives you an idea.

 

the more differences the better, i don't like to listen only a genre all / most my life, but each one their own.

When somebody asks me I say "alot, but mostly Canadian indie"

so want we answer here?

I always used to get nervous about answering this question, because I had this huge obsession with Coldplay and everyone would just say 'that's gay'.

 

Now I just say 'alternatvie rock' :nice: but I do like mainstream, heavy metal, classic rock and roll, and country music too so :P

I would say 'Rock' since I don't listed to Coldplay anymore :disappointed:

 

but Mumford & Sons is folk-rock :/

now, i listen mostly to folk rock. :)

rock, metal, jazz, j-pop, bollywood, with a lite dabbling in R&B and gansta rap.

'indie', alternative and punk mostly.

Occasionally mainstream rock, dubstep, ambient and some other stuff

whatever the girl i wanna get with likes :wink3:

hmmm... well mostly britpop, indie, rock, alternative - but also pop, (indie) folk, some country and some classic rock. and if we class singer-songwriter as a genre, i guess i should mention that as well ;)
