DO NOT CALL THE FIRM - IT IS MOST LIKELY SCAM

Featured Replies

Two days ago and again today when leaving the voting page for Coldplay songs, a window popped up saying that I was visitor no. 1 million and TODAY's WINNER, and that I had won 3,000$ shopping spree. DO NOT BELIEVE IT!

The company in question is named SUMMER BAY RESORT, and if you google Summer Bay Resort there are tons of complaints from people having ended up contacting this firm.

They end up buying a travel package of 4 travels minus the amount won - over the telephone. The company wants the balance in their favour paid here and now via a credit card. For that purpose they need your credit card info and draw the amount right away. People regretting their purchase of a "vacation package" have trouble in getting their money back and some even in getting in contact with the firm - most of them do not succeed in getting their money back.

Knowing that coldplayers experience this pop-up window, I wanna warn you:

I ADVISE YOU NOT TO CALL THE COMPANY.

Well, yeah. Those things are never real. :P

Scammers are lame.

i've been victim of another scam, i was looking for courses to do -apparently from trustworsthy websites /linked to job offer websites-, and applied for receiving information, to my email, but as i gave other info -if not they won't allow you send the request- the woman phoned me and wanted to meet me, with no compromise only to give me info.

why do you make an appointment with someone just to give them information, you do that to get a contract, don't you? :whip:

i had to pretend i was not home -in fact i went away for some hours when she was suppoused to be around-

:blank:

true story bro!

check the enterprises you get stuff with beforehand / prior to some serious step.

but really, ask for information about a course is a serious step?

I Never trust these peoples they are Evils.

Thank you Nancy but I think you could open thousands of threads like this one :laugh4:

I thought everyone knew already that you just never click links like those or believe anything said...

And if you use Mozilla and have all the ad blocking stuff installed you don't even see them anymore. :)

That's right, and this window popped up both Tuesday and Thursday when I left the voting page after having voted.

So I felt like warning my fellow-coldplayers so that they do not end up losing money.

Rather a warning too much !

Yeah that site has been dodgy at counting my votes and theres loads of ads.

I Just vote and leave the page.

Damn right

Like if you ever get those emails from banks you don't bank with asking you for details, the ones I'm considering making a blog for, cos some are like really dumb
