OK, yeah, screw this. Trying to make a late arrival to a listening party for a CD I already love is NOT worth the frustration of continuously refreshing a faulty chat site for over 35 minutes. I'm sorry I wasn't able to make it, but this is just too frickin' much.

Everyone was getting frustrated at me because the site would let me on for about 15 seconds then kick me off saying "A connection to the server could not be established". :|

I had a similar problem with UStream last night with the "High Violet" listening party. Thankfully, they kept the TinyChat they had started (which actually WORKED yesterday) open for me until I could actually sign in, which was like, the 4th track. It's still really frustrating. :\

Yeah I've had problems like this before, apparently there's Ustream which is the solution to lifes problems, Nathan isn't a member of this forum but he's willing to do these types of chats and he is on my MSN so I can act through him vicariously and update the forum. He's probably got quite a few people from here on his MSN so any of us can post about listening to an album, and once that's done, we'll meet up with him on Ustream, whatever that is, and it's good times.

 

The way it's been working so far is totally a mess, and it's leading to chat that has nothing to do with the album, so if we have a chat room that has a play button so we can all start at the same time, we might be able to focus on the actual music better.
