Listening Party

By the way, as for a starting time, I'd prefer to start no later (but preferably earlier) than 1 AM GMT+1 (that's 7 PM EST if I'm correct). How does that work out for you guys?

If I was around it'd work well for me, but in general that should work well.

How boring life must be for you.

There is so much exciting and vibrant music in the world, I don't get why people are so caught up in about 3 bands.

Everyone in the world (or on this forum at least) has heard Radiohead's albums, so I don't really see the point in listening to them all together.

August 8 (The Suburbs-Arcade Fire)-Mike (the_gloaming09)

August 9 (Teen Dream-Beach House)-Mike (the_gloaming09)

August 9 (In Rainbows + CD2-Radiohead)-Mike (the_gloaming09)

August 10 ((Whats the Story) Morning Glory-Oasis)-Mike (the_gloaming09)

August 11 (Absolution-Muse)-Violet (violetsparks)

August 11 (Kid A/Amnesiac-Radiohead)-Alyssa (Stargirl)

August 12 (High Violet-The National)-Briggins

August 15 (Armchair Apocrypha-Andrew Bird)

August 16 (HTTT-Radiohead)

PWNED

Zeoir you're completely missing the point, and people probably got defensive because you did such a ****y thing by attaching your vague meaningless 'point' by how our lives must be so boring with really no reason given as to why.

It's a good idea because for any album there's always a reason to hold chats about it. Radiohead is because some people are fanboys, and some like myself, used to listen to a lot of Radiohead but then let the albums got dusty. It was great to pull out Kid A, as I never would usually, and it makes you really focus on everything about the album when you're chatting about it with a group of people. As well as that you get to hear their opinions and think about the songs in different ways then we did before. So for me personally it was about remembering how great that album is.

With ones like the Suburbs and Beach House, it's an excuse to listen to new music (I never would have listened to the entire Beach House album otherwise- not that I will again).

I'd be down for a Wilco album at some point.

Yeah where's the myspace at?

hmmm, I like Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, A Ghost Is Born, and Wilco (The Album) the most.

Yay, Wilco. :nice:

If it's at a decent time for me, I'd wanna listen to anything but Yankee I guess. Already listened to that one so often. But then again, it is a damn good album.

I don't understand the (Sign up for one!) in the title.

What are you signing up for?

A Ghost is Born is sounding good right now.

so when are we gonna do this?

^I forgot about that.

I could also Ustream it if need be.

Just another example of Wilco's utter awesomeness. :awesome:

Basically any time next week would work for me as song as it's not starting extremely late.

We could Ustream it, I guess...

I hate Ustreaming though because I don't know who the fuck anyone is because their usernames are usually different from on here.

All albums are streamable on their website.

Yeah, but you would have to press the play button to the next song as soon as the last one ends...

If an ad comes up just fast forward 30 seconds. SIMPLE.

LAZY. You only need to pay some attention in order to listen the songs at the same time as the others.

*haz cd*

I'm a Wilco fangirl so I am in luck. I have the CD too.

And if you don't, you could always borrow them from the internets. :D

I won pretty much their entire discography in 4 seperate contests ahah
