Former boxing world champion Ricky Hatton has been filmed apparently taking cocaine in a ten-hour drink and drugs binge.

Hatton, an MBE, was secretly recorded snorting seven lines of the illegal drug in a Manchester hotel room.

The 31-year-old is clearly seen taking a wrap from his shoe, pouring the white powder it contains onto a table top, then snorting the contents.

Hatton, who lives with his fiance Jennifer Dooley in the city, was filmed for the News Of The World two weeks ago by his friend Emma Bowe, 29.

Irish national senior women's boxing champion Bowe told the tabloid she flew from Dublin to Manchester to attend a cage fighting event with Hatton.

She claimed he spent the night in her hotel room, where she said she witnessed him snorting cocaine.

'He laid out three huge lines, really industrial quantities,' Bowe said. 'I watched him all the time.

'He went to the dressing table and cut them up with a credit card, really fat lines of coke.

'Then he rolled up a £20 note, put it up his nose and snorted up three lines of cocaine one after the other.'

She also claims she witnessed Hatton drank several shots of Sambuca, 11 pints of Guinness, four shots of vodka and two glasses of wine.

The claims are sure to humiliate Hatton, who was said to be planning a comeback and renewed his boxing licence in July.

Having made more than £30million in his boxing career, father-of-one Hatton does not need the money.

But Britain’s most popular boxer was said to be embarrassed by the manner of his last defeat, a two-round knockout against Manny Pacquiao in Vegas last year.

Shamed Ricky Hatton will enter rehab later today after he was apparently filmed snorting several lines of cocaine while on a drink and drugs binge.

The former two-weight world champion, who has still to officially retire from the sport following a succession of multi-million pound title fights, is captured in video footage appearing to use a credit card to cut lines of cocaine before snorting them through a rolled-up bank note.

Max Clifford, who was on Saturday night called by a representative of Hatton and asked to speak on behalf of the boxer, confirmed the 'Hitman' would seek help.

'I think he'll be going today [to get professional help] to talk to the people he needs to talk to. To talk to the people who are experts in these circumstances,' he told talkSPORT

'I think the intention is that he's going to be looked after and hopefully will listen and find out what they tell him and what treatment they give him.

'I don't know exactly what happened, all I know, like you, is what I read in the News of the World. He obviously was very, very drunk at the time.

'He needs expert advice and help, as anyone in these circumstances does and, from the conversation I had with him yesterday, that will start today.

'I've spoken to his Dad and Paul Speak [his agent] and they all speak with one voice, he needs help and we're all going to make sure that he gets the best help possible as quickly as possible.'

The newspaper states the video footage was captured over several hours at a Manchester hotel two weeks ago while Hatton was on a night out with friend Emma Bowe, 29, the Irish national senior women's boxing champion.

She told the paper Hatton also binged on drink by sinking 11 pints of Guinness, vodka, wine and sambuca during the night out.

'I'm only talking about this because Ricky is a danger to himself. If he carries on like this he'll kill himself,' she is quoted as saying.

'I'm really, really worried for him, especially if he tries to make a comeback in the ring as he's hinted - he could have a heart attack.'

Knockout blow for Ricky Hatton - Hitman stripped of boxing license following drug revelations

Disgraced former world champion Ricky Hatton has been stripped of three boxing licenses following revelations that he snorted cocaine in a Manchester hotel room.

The Hitman has lost his boxing, manager's and trainer's certificates after the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) passed its judgement today.

Hatton has not fought since the defeat at the hands of Manny Pacquiao last May and has recently spent time in a rehabilitation clinic suffering from depression after he admitted serious drink and drug problems.

article-1314579-0B51A9E2000005DC-552_468x326.jpg Out for the count: Hatton won't be entering the ring to box any time soon

Hatton has retained his promoter's license but the judgement will come as a huge blow to the fighter.

The BBBofC statement read: 'The Board is especially concerned to keep the sport of boxing free from drugs, whether taken for recreational or performance enhancing reasons and to be vigilant in identifying and dealing with cases of alcohol abuse.

'At the hearing, the Board found Ricky Hatton guilty of misconduct in that his actions and behaviour were detrimental to the interests of boxing and to the public interest and that he had brought the sport into disrepute.

article-1314579-0B51BDA6000005DC-453_233x423.jpg Belt up: Hatton will be allowed to continue promoting fights

'Ricky Hatton is not an active boxer and his current physical condition is such that the Board decided to withdraw his boxer's licence.

'Ricky Hatton's Manager's and Second's licences allow him to have close, day to day contact with participants in the sport and the Board has taken the view that his conduct and present circumstances make such contact wholly inappropriate.

'Consequently, the Board has decided to withdraw such licences. The Board gave long and hard consideration as to whether or not to withdraw or suspend his Promoter's licence.

'Hatton Promotions is a large organisation employing a number of experienced individuals in varying roles, including professional persons, and the effect upon innocent persons, including professional boxers, the Board concluded that justice would not be served by withdrawing his Promoter's licence.

'Therefore, his Promoter's licence remains. In addition, Mr. Hatton was fined £20,000 plus costs.'

The two-weight former world champion, who was secretly filmed taking what is alleged to be lines of the class A drug on a night out, gave a candid interview in which he revealed his anger and pledged to fight and win his way back to health.

Speaking to the News of the World, he said: 'I'm so angry I could knock myself out.

'I'm disgusted at myself for what I have done. I've had a wonderful career and am furious that I have tarnished it.'

Hatton has battled with drink and severe depression for 'several weeks', according to his spokesman Max Clifford.

His father Ray said he had signed himself into the clinic for an indefinite period. Greater Manchester Police said officers were aware of the story and planned to question him.

The force said it would respect the former boxer's privacy after he admitted himself to the clinic. He is to be interviewed once his rehabilitation is complete.
