Not your average Christmas song

Featured Replies

So every year the radio over plays the same old Christmas songs until you're ready to shove a fruitcake through someone's head just for humming one. But for some reason, those very same songs become awesome as soon as your favorite band plays them. So tell me, what are your favorite Christmas songs either covered by or written by your favorite bands?

Mine have to be the newly released Christmas Lights by Coldplay, and every Christmas song The Killers have ever made.

Some of my favorites besides the standard ones they play by Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, etc.

I don't think Sigur Rós was supposed to be included. :sweatdrop:

As you might notice I'm not that fond of Christmas music.

christmas hater here, mainly i don't see the point in being nice with each other just ONE month for the whole year, which also happen to be the most commercial month.

i may change my mind in 5 years, whatever xmas lost it sense to me years ago if it ever had one. i only liked it cause i was able to play with the figurines of the natitivy scene and that was it.

i don't follow if this or that band release that xmas song or this other (but for Coldplay and David Fonseca), and most i listen here forcefully are traditional spanish xmas songs (villancicos).

i absolutely love that one, remind me my time abroad, was easily made, even using his son tiny toy instruments and sounds great. dunno if is a xmas song per se. also i like the landscapes and so cause it reminds me another artistical project he had around 2007.
