Yup, the song is for Gwyneth - Her father Bruce passed away during the recording sessions of X&Y and the term 'Fix you' is his way of trying to say that he will be there to get her through that and help her get back on her feet because she went through severe depression when it happened. :smiley:

I would be sort of sad if a pet died.

 

But like I said, to me ....the song is really special and powerful and it annoys me when someone dedicates it to something less than what its worth like some tween girl dedicating it to a boy she liked for 3 days and will forget and move on to another one in another 2

. As for the pet thing.... maybe its just because i dont love pets whole heartedly, its already too much when people in my life die so if i put everything into loving an animal as well ..... i dk i just dont see it like that but i guess everyones different. Thats just how i feel.
