in learning the order of operations (BEDMAS) where does square root fit in? :huh:

i have a looong question and it's for learning the order of operations and i wasn't at the lesson today so i'm not sure when i'm supposed to do the square root.

 

the question is (not using the square roon or exponent sign):

 

(42+18-54) x square root of 100 divided by (9 to the power of 2 - 11x6) x (36-34+ 1 to the power of 4)

 

i can't use the signs because it's my computer.

 

to the power of mean exponents.

arg it's hard to understand without the correct signs...

have you ever heard about exponential and logarithm?

i know exponential but not logrithm.

 

but i put exponents as meaning to the power.

 

so 9 to the power of 2 would be 81.

and 1 to the power of 4 is 4.

 

 

but the main this i want to know is when i'm supposed to figure out what the square root is. i don't know where it fits in. am i supposed to figure it out at the end?
