I can't believe she's not here yet. With, amazing self titled album back in 2005, and the epic tripple albums "Body Talk" last year, she deserves her own thread. She's the electro-pop goddess!

Robin Miriam Carlsson (born 12 June 1979), better known by her stage name Robyn, is a Swedish recording artist, singer, and songwriter. Robyn became known in the late nineties for her worldwide dance-pop hit "Do You Know (What It Takes)" from her debut album Robyn Is Here (1997). She co-wrote the song "Du gör mig hel igen" (You Make Me Whole Again) for Melodifestivalen 1997. The popularity of her #1 hit single "With Every Heartbeat", and subsequent album release Robyn (2005), brought her mainstream success worldwide. In January 2009 Robyn won a Swedish Grammis award for Best Live Act 2008.

Robyn released the first of a trilogy of albums to be released over the course of 2010 titled Body Talk Pt. 1, in June of that year, peaking at #1. It was her first album since Robyn. The album's lead single "Dancing on My Own" was released a few weeks prior to the album's release, and became a hit single worldwide, and brought her a 53rd Grammy Awards nomination for the category of Best Dance Recording. A follow up album, Body Talk Pt. 2, was released on September 6, entering straight at #1[2] of the Swedish chart, and the final album of the trilogy, Body Talk, was released on November 22, 2010 with the first single "Indestructible". "Call Your Girlfriend" was the second single to be released from Body Talk.[3]

10 Reasons Why Robyn Sucks

1. She dresses like a guy

2. She can't dance to save her life

3. She has a song called "Don't Fucking Tell Me What To Do"

4. She acts like a rebel teenager on stage

5. Her shoes are six feet too high

6. Her setup is two drummers and two keyboardists

7. She made out with herself on stage

8. She covered the band she was supporting

9. She has a song called "Fembot"

10. All her songs sound the same

Why does it matter if she dresses like a guy?

Cause she looks ridiculous

You could have just said that she looks ridiculous instead.

Its not a bias opinion she dresses like a male person .not in a lesbian way but in a lady gaga ridiculous way

Ouch, this is a bit harsh! We don't have to enjoy everything we're given, but let's at least be respectful...

Respectful of that talentless hack? I don't think so

Whatever happened to good opening acts like journey and the stones or clash and the who or editors and u2

It's actually kind of disappointing that you take 5 minutes out of your time to start a thread about another musician, that you claim to dislike. There are several people that mentioned her music is not their style but you just had to take your time do your research and open up a new thread for her aye? There are other people who happen to enjoy her music very much, and its quite rude of you, to open up a thread specifically to bash her.

I have a friend named Robyn and she's awesome thank you very much.

If you respect a "musician" who names her song don't fucking tell me what to do then whatever I don't care all I know is she got booed in my section and there were people waiting outside the exits for her to be over all those reasons I listed came from the people waiting outside the exits and i couldnt agree with them more I'm just gonna leave it at one statement: coldplay is at a different level of talent and spirituality than robyn and they should've known better than to start off an incredible show with the ignorance that is Robyn and jayz

Yup

Quite pathetic. Too bad you didn't like it. My section, we didnt let the music from Robyn spoil our night. May be you just couldn't keep up with the music, haha. My section we had a blast with all the opening acts and the fantastic coldplay.

Um... Riiight. I actually have nothing against Robyn. She was just unfitting to the line-up. That's all. I don't see why it's such a big deal to let it bother you.

Agreed.

It does not bother me much, its just the fact that, he took the time to make up a list, of someone he apparently hated so much. Who cares what the opening act is, my goal is to see coldplay.

If coldplay wants to use a rock, pop, jazz, country, trance, disco, artist for their opening act, i jump and scream, I'm there to have a blast. I know my section did. There were some older people around us who didnt know who she was, ofcourse not their type of music but they graceful clapped and had fun regardless of whether they knew who she was.

The only ignorance i see is in you and your pathetic list of reasons lol.

Go RObyn Go JayZ WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

It's fucking COldplay!

Actually, you can put 1 and 5 together (fashion sense), 3 and 9 together (song titles), and 2, 4, and 7 together (stage presence). So really, you only have six reasons, and five out of the six aren't even relevant. ("8. She covered the band she was supporting." OK, what's your point? Why is that a bad thing? It's not like she's the only person in the world to do a Coldplay cover.)

Really, you could've just said that all her songs sound the same and called it a day. I myself would've gone with the "I find her voice extremely annoying" bit, but I would've just put that in the Robyn thread in the WoM and not bothered to create a whole new thread bashing an artist.
