Coldplay hinting at new song titles with cryptic tweets?

Coldplay have published three cryptic tweets on their official Twitter account, Twitter.com/coldplay, which may give hints about the title of their new single or album.

One tweet links to a moving image that spells out the message: "Maybe the trees are gone". Another spells, "Maybe the streets alight" while a third one reads, "I feel my heart start beating to my favourite song". The first two messages are written in flashing text with the other written in a brightly coloured font.

A similar message was posted yesterday which reads: "I turn the music up, I got my records on, I shut the world outside until the lights come on."

No details have been posted as to what the messages mean or if they are an indication of a future announcement - although fans are speculating that they could point to names for new songs or the band's next album.

Coldplay have been recording their new album with Brian Eno over the last few months and last year, but have given few details about how it will sound or how it differs from their previous efforts. The band are booked for a series of UK festivals this summer, including headline slots at T In The Park and Glastonbury.

This radio station that I listen just talked about how Coldplay started posting pics with possible lyrics and that the fans are going crazy about it. :) Looks like someone has an account on cping. :)

I hate to say it, but if there lyrics, i dont like em :/

I love that Coldplay always makes it fun for the fans to figure stuff out. I don't think I've seen such 'guess-ery' since X&Y!

it is very exciting!!!! :wacky:

Help, I have not been able to get into my twitter account. Is there something going on here? I got to my page, but nothing showed up there.

Flashback images of "Saturday Night Fever." :laugh3:
