Coldplay New Era Setlist

Featured Replies

I would like the setlist to be like this:

Opening

Viva La Vida (cant imagine how crazy people go with Viva opening the concert)

Lovers In Japan

Talk

Fix You

Violet Hill (with initial lines of A Rush Of Blood... in the end)

Trouble

The Hardest Part

Speed Of Sound

Strawberry Swing

Acoustic set:

Don Quixote

A Message/ Don't Panic/ Till Kingdom Come

Shiver

Lost

Yellow

The Scientist

Encore:

Clocks

Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall

Swallowed In The Sea Into (Acapella)/In My Place

ETIAW for sure!

Expect this at every show.

Okay, lemme lay out a reasonable festival set that would include some nice oldies, but nothing too wildly awesome (like Amsterdam - I would DIE from that):

Yellow

In My Place

Speed of Sound (put this back in the damn setlist, guys)

Cemeteries of London

Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall

God Put a Smile Upon Your Face (finally going back to the REAL version)

Lost! (or, preferably, "Lost?")

Trouble

Talk (again, REAL version)

Shiver (acoustic)

Til Kingdom Come/Warning Sign/A Message (acoustic, I consider this a wild card slot)

Strawberry Swing

Clocks

Lovers in Japan

Viva la Vida

Fix You

---

Politik

The Scientist

Don't think we can expect much longer for festivals. Individual headline shows, yes, but not festivals.

Was difficult deciding what to drop from Viva, so I looked at the intimate holiday shows for guidance. No Violet Hill or LiT2.

Start with

The Escapist + Life in Technicolor ii will be great I think

Politik, Fix You, Yellow, Viva La Vida will be survived as well

I hope Amsterdam to be back and Speed of Sound

I've already accepted the notion that I'm probably never going to hear "Sparks" live.

PROVE ME WRONG, SETLIST GODS.

This, this. A thousand times this.

I also think they'll start playing Amsterdam again. Maybe also Life Is for Living because Phil really wants them to play it :P

For Guy's sake I wish they'd play Crests of Waves at least once :dozey:

Expect this at every show.

I think that looks reasonable! I'd love for them to play Violet Hill again, though. They played the real version of God Put... at the Christmas gigs and it was AMAZING. I really hope they keep it on the setlist.
