  • Lol I haven't been here in 5 years but I decided to pop my head back in for some nostalgia. Seems like this was my last post so here's an update... I finally saw Radiohead live in Manchester in 2017 a

i'm gonna make it some day. when it's warmer outside :nice:

lately they didn't all participate in an interviews, right? only one-two persons per interview. sheesh. unless i'm mistaken.

MTV cracks me up.

First of all the background music is wayyyy to loud.

And secondly just some of the questions are ridiculous.

I scenserly doubt it, If you check out when Noel Galligar of Oasis called Radiohead out for 'you can write about the news all you want, nobody cares' Thom reponded with 'I went to music school, it taught me to respect other artists'

So I highly doubt Radiohead would hate a band, im sure they being geniuses can tell the differences between Coldplay and Muse and don't see them as rip offs and the fact that they all branched out from Radiohead's The Bends era sound. Im sure Radiohead respect them, as they respected REM and took some inspiration from them.

And plus I don't see the RH influence in Coldplay, I just see Travis and The Verve.

I wouldnt be surprised if that picture from thom and chris is changed a bit with photoshop, or its just thom looking to something else.

I dont think he really hates coldplay. But i do see some radiohead influence in coldplay.

Found it!!

Nah I totally exaggerated when I said he 'hates' Chris but I'm sure he's just annoyed by him.

haha that sucks

Radioheaders... is it true they are headlining the All Points West festival for two nights?

3 Radiohead albums in Best British Albums poll

Radiohead’s OK Computer finished third in a Q magazine poll of the All Time Best British Albums. Oasis beat the band for the first two spots with their albums ‘Definitely Maybe’ and ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory’.

Radiohead are followed by Revolver by The Beatles and the Stone Roses’ self-titled debut. The poll conducted by Q of 11.000 people voted two other Radiohead albums (’In Rainbows’ on 40, ‘The Bends’ on 11) ended up in the list of 50 British albums.

Q’s editor, Paul Rees, said Oasis had polled three times more votes than any other act on his publication’s list, making them “undoubtedly the nation’s most-loved band”. “In a list that features the likes of Radiohead’s OK Computer and The Beatles’ Revolver, this is a testament to the popularity of Oasis and their music.”

Looks like it.

Btw whoa the Vampire Weekend album is great! Amazing for a debut

I've heard about them but haven't listened to any of them.

So they're worth checking out? What style are they?

altarnative defo. New York band.

they mix so many different styles! The singer has a reggae-fitting voice and some songs got this great jamaican beat and then they mix african sounds and classical music and pop&rock.

They became very popular, I actually thought that it was again some over-the-top-going hype over some new actually-not-that-goog a band, but now I understand the hype completely. The lyrics I haven't listened too closely yet, but I read from somewhere that they are pretty witty. Well, they are uni guys after all.

very fascinating

the new Destroyer album is also brilliant. This year has sure started well music-wise.

It sure has.

Have you checked out Jason Collett?

:P I've listened to that Wilco album a couple times this week. I'll probably download some of their other stuff eventually.

i'm listening to that video Briggs posted. Yorke+Stipe. I'm shivering and I don't know why - is it Thom's voice or because I'm cold? :uhoh2:
