Way better than Floyd, in my opinion. Radiohead has more interesting ideas than they do. Plus, is it safe to say their music has much more emotional impact?

I love both bands.

 

I guess one main reason I love Radiohead so much is because they are still active and it is exciting just the hype with new songs/albums...and also live stuff.

 

But Pink Floyd are definitely genius. Dark Side of the Moon is one of the best albums ever.

Floyd is good..

but theyre nothing compared to radiohead,

Radiohead don't feel the need for 25 minute long songs with precious little music to fill the time. Pink Floyd laid down the foundation for what RH sing about with the likes of Animals and The Wall but RH surpass them in every respect.

 

Except you can't really think of an amazing RH guitar solo, mainly because RH arn't totally self indulgent. And Dark Side of The Moon is my least fav of the 4 amazing Floyd LP's outside of which Floyd arn't really anything special.

when do you think they'll announce the dates and venues for the other half of the US tour? i'm waiting for the details on the boston show and it's killing me.

i hope its soon. I'm hoping to go to Boston to see them if i'm not in class.

I hope it's soon too!! It sucks for me that they're probably coming in august though, because I'll be in Russia... I'd have to fly back for a day or just come back early altogether :dizzy:

 

I'd say they'll announce sometime in March. You can never tell for sure though...

I almost got a chance to go, when they go to Atlanta, but I live in CT so I couldn't convince my parents to travel that much, I could afford tickets too!!!:angry:

yup I did :) still stressed about the fact that we don't have the flights or accommodation booked yet, though.

I am in complete disbelief at the lack of respect for Pink Floyd... especially from Radiohead fans. If it weren't for Floyd, Radiohead would not sound the same at all.

 

And honestly, if you think that a track is bad because of being 25:00, then you either:

 

a)Haven't heard 'Echoes',

 

or

 

b)Have the attention span of a squirrel.
