I once heard Street Spirit at a bar and was like shh everyone it's radiohead haha. and once at another bar about a year ago we were playing table football and then I heard Airbag's intro and I started humming and wasn't really concentrating on the game anymore.

  • Lol I haven't been here in 5 years but I decided to pop my head back in for some nostalgia. Seems like this was my last post so here's an update... I finally saw Radiohead live in Manchester in 2017 a

haha, that's happened to me a few times when they've come on, at various places

This was a bar, too, that had already played Joy Division, Lily Allen and The Killers in the same night. I HAVE to go there more often.

I wish we had bars like that. :(

I just remember a guy giving me a paper ad for a bar that played Radiohead and other good bands, and when I read that I squealed and the guy gave me a strange look.

so i think some of you know but thom got pissed off during the show and left the stage during All I Need. according to the ateaser, this is what happened:

thom got pissed off during all I need for two things:

1. his monitors hadn't been working properly

2. this girl pretended to be fainting and all she wanted was to be pulled up front, so she ended at the barrier. thom gave her THE evil blank stare with his right eye and refused to sing the last chorus before "it's all wrong / it's all right". then he walked off the stage.

thom left for about 10 minutes and the band didn't know what to do. colin+phil did a couple of bars off there there. ed explained the situation with the monitors, but they were all still in a bad mood somehow. it's something that came beforehand. guess that's what you get when the local press reveals your hotel, where you're eating, where you're hanging out, etc... plus a venue change from a proper stadium to some improvised shithole.

--------

this isn't the first time thom's gotten angry...haha

we have only one bar like that but it's mostly middle aged wannabe -musicians who go there. haha I wouldn't mind but my dad's one of them..... when there's a band playing though (usually a good one) the upstairs is full of young people. that's when it's the best. But in helsinki there are lots of great bars. there is this one where they have every month the Radio Helsinki club, where the DJ's from my favourite radio station play music and there is usually a band too. my friends just never want to go there. I should get some new friends haha.

Maybe you will when you move to uni (if you're going to Helsinki). :) That happened to me and now I know a great bar that plays awesome electronic music.

@ the Thom thing: Ahhh I doubt I'd be happy if the same happened to me!

yeah... but I'm pretty anti-social.. not as anti-social as I used to be though. meaning I don't make new friends easily. and i probably won't get into uni :P

well tonight is the final show of the SA tour
I'm wondering how awesome the setlist will be.

I don't make new friends easily either. In fact, I have this "I don't belong to this group of people" feeling that prevents me from feeling accepted in a circle of people.

And you will get into uni, you're not stupid! :P

I'm wondering how awesome the setlist will be.

i'm hoping that they have a few surprises

Me too! :cheesy:

I wonder how the other members deal with the Thom stuff... I'd feel embarrassed.

they're probably used to it ... they've known each other for more than 20 years after all.

same, but i'd also be afraid of him to. Thom to me, would be cool to meet but I feel that he's very intimidating

Where is everyone all of a sudden. Might as well make the best of it and rack up my post count in this thread. I must beat thegloaming!

I was watching the news and some people are saying that tonight's gig will be broadcasted at radiohead.tv or something like that (they said it's a rumor, but still)... anyway, they said that the show will start at 21:00 (it's 14:26 now)

and a pictures album from a local newspaper site
