Anyone like the new song Real?

Yeah, a new song! You can buy it on itunes! :D

I haven't heard any news on a new album, but I hope we get one soon! :D

They are working on a new album, according to Wikipedia. It should be out before the end of the year.

Thought i'd bring this back from the dead, the new album titled "Something For The Rest of Us" will be out soon date yet to be announced but shouldn't be long. About bloody time!

I am a huge fan. I think they are grossly underrated. I think Johnny Rzeznik has written some of the best pop-rock songs in the last 10 years. True, it's not amazingly deep, and that's ok sometimes. Their music is loaded with hooks and catchy as hell.

I'm also a fan of their earlier work. Superstar Car Wash and A Boy Name Goo are flat out kick ass alternative albums. I suggest people take a listen to Ego, Opinion, Art, Commerce in order to get a taste of their early days.

AHHHHH SINCE WHEN DO WE HAVE A GOO GOO DOLLS THREAD *throws up over computer screen*

I LOVE them. They're from where I live. :wacky:

Buffalo?

Buffalo?

Yeah, but like two counties over from where they're actually from.

Anyway, I really want to learn one of their songs on guitar. :wacky:

I don't play guitar, but my friend tells me that they are not easy to learn because Johnny often plays in alternate tunings.

That sucks. :blank:

 I can at least learn the melody or something. :nice:

Goo Goo Dolls fans

I'm sure you guys have heard of them. Anyone else love this band from Buffalo, NY? Post away! :)

Here here, there's actually a Goo Goo Dolls thread but its buried somewhere.

Yeah, I am a really big fan, especially of their earlier stuff. I don't like a lot of the stuff they've made recently, but it's alright. I also don't like their new single "Home." However, I think they wrote some of the best pop rock of the late 90s. "Name" is one of my all time favorite songs.

Hi!

I made it!:)

^ Very nice. Goo Goo Dolls write some of the best pop-rock songs. I think 10-20 years from now Johnny Rzeznik will get the credit he deserves.

I'm always surprised the Goo Goo Dolls thread doesn't get more traffic on this board. Different generation, but their music should appeal to the Coldplay audience.

Goo Goo Dolls its been so long since i´ve heard about them :| I loved them when i was younger

it's probably as you said...they're quite an underrated band. i think their big hit in their career is still just Iris. & it was more because of the exposure from being used in the City Of Angels movie than anything, imo.

i still love their Dizzy Up The Girl album after all these years. haven't checked out the new stuff yet tho.
