November 8, 201213 yr Because I have an English accent? Americans in general think we English are posh:laugh3: EDIT: not just American people :P Americans are known for not knowing much about the rest of the world. This is why it drives me crazy being there.
November 8, 201213 yr United Statesians[/size][/b] are known for not knowing much about the rest of the world. This is why it drives me crazy being there. Fixed it for you :)
November 8, 201213 yr No one calls people from the United States of America, "United Statesians", they're call "Americans". People in North and South American are called...Canadian, Mexican, Brazilian, Argentine(?), etc. :P
November 8, 201213 yr No one calls people from the United States of America, "United Statesians", they're call "Americans". People in North and South American are called...Canadian, Mexican, Brazilian, Argentine(?), etc. :P I know... That is why i am trying to change it... :) I am from central america, and for some reason we do not like it... I know everyone calls them that, and it is accepted, but I do not think it is right... The United Statesian Culture is so different from any other culture in the continent, and calling the United States of America just America might give the impression that you are generalizing it over to the whole continent sometimes. So if you call all the other people by the name of their country, why not call people from the "United States of America" United Statesians? It is more specific, and it does not make the rest of Americans across the continent feel uncomfortable :)
November 8, 201213 yr You can say Central American, North American, and South American, if you are being general. But people from the US have been called Americans for so long. And United Statesians sounds weird...maybe if you come up with something a little more "hip" and catchy.
November 8, 201213 yr jaja the funny part is that an United Statesian friend was the one that came up with that one! But yes, I agree.
November 8, 201213 yr If someone called me a United Statesians I would probably look at them like this  :shocked3: :uhoh:
November 8, 201213 yr I should be limited to changing my avatar only once a week. OR at least give me an award as the most insecure user with an always changing avatar. :blank:
November 8, 201213 yr The amount you change your avatar tells something about how quickly you lose interest in things. :|
November 8, 201213 yr I keep missing the times i reached x00 number of posts... :( I have been kind of a posting-whore lately... :/
November 8, 201213 yr The amount you change your avatar tells something about how quickly you lose interest in things. :| I am always in search for the perfect avatar. I change mostly based off my mood. Just like how a band keeps trying to make their best album, I keep looking for a better avatar.
November 8, 201213 yr The amount you change your avatar tells something about how quickly you lose interest in things. :| ...Or maybe it says something about how varied their interests are. When I changed my avatar from Clive Owen to David Byrne, it wasn't because I was disinterested in Clive. It was because I had gotten into David Byrne's music. Of course, now I have Rudy's avatar that I'm borrowing until the end of November, so I'll have plenty of time to think of what to put there afterwards. I keep missing the times i reached x00 number of posts... :( I have been kind of a posting-whore lately... :/ Grrrl, you don't know the meaning of the word "post-whore." No, really. Back in the day, when Tammi posted here all the time, she has sometimes made 3,000 posts a day. Not a month. Not a week. In one day.
