I've returned home from Italy only 2 days ago so I know how it is there. Unfortunately, here isn't much colder :P

Oh, but it still sucks I guess. I hope you can fix that somehow. :)

Other than to massively increase the size of the drains there is nothing you can really do when a few days worth of rain falls inside 10 minutes.

 

And I doubt the council will be able to spend the thousands of pounds on drain upgrades as they have to spend thousands on meeting the demands of the Olympic touch relay people.

@Alien Radio: I live near Milan :) but I' ve visited Rome, Florence, The whole Veneto (including Venice), Tuscany and Sicily. Where did you spend your Italian time?
