That's really a very stupid argument you use (I mean your goverment) Because you can be "bad" and "evil" deppending on the side and way you see things... though some things are undefendible! (not defendeble)

I dont even know ok, I'm not the US government. I was just assuming or guessing.

ok, relax... maybe it was a problem with my english!

Because or goddamn dumbass president think's that every nation besides us that has them, is going to use them to attack us or use them for evil.

do you not know your basic politics?

the government isnt a clan and he's in charge

its called congress having to pass the vote

its not like the president has ultimate authority

well as far as I know there are things called "Parties" the Republicans and the Democrats, or whatever you called/write them there. They have votes and If a party has "more power" on congress, it is easy for them to "get what they want". Now, If you have our system, where both parties, no matter how many members they have, coun't just as much as the other, it is harder to aprove and reject somenthing.

yeah^

thats the idea

who ever wins the election gets to pick who goes in congress....

you wouldnt get anything done with the same # of each party

well do you, because you have more than 2 parties here and the "get together" and so, besides there are things were they agree. And you can have problems inside the party that might affect your vote, because they also vote for their position, If they don't agree, all or 90%, with the same position

That's your problem, I can understand it!

Wel, I'm sorry then. I'll try to write things in a better way/properly next time :embarrased:

Why the hell is there an Australian flag for your flag if you don't even know English?

1st.- it's not a flag from Australia, it's from New Zealand

2nd.- What's the mnatter with my english? Is it so bad?

Ohhhh, excuse me, New Zealand. It seems like if you're from an English speaking country, you'd know english. Or are you not originally from NZ?

I'm not from New Zealand, or originally from there, I'm from Chile ( a country in South America, near Argentina)

*AHEM*

sorry to put out this little fire, but might I give my insights.

The war in Iraq was because Bush was afraid of them, he felt they were giving him "creepy little stares" I don't think a full fledged war was a good idea, but the American government is on a downfall anyways. Didn't ya hear? China is the new world power. America will be second rate or worse. *secretly hopes for social revolution*(ph34r m4 b14d3!). America just won't be the biggest and most important anymore, which seems it probably was a very bad idea getting a bunch of people pissed at you right before your country loses much power. However, Saddam Hussein was not a good man to be in power anyways so I think Bush broke even on that one. I don't hate Bush, I think he was pressured into some bad situations. He's a good person.

Don't worry, my flag says somenthing, I say another thing; it's just a minor thing

kasia i believe you broke the tension here, thanks:)

ill put in my 2 cents, first off some of you were asking about the vote recount in florida, when electing a president you dont count each person's individual vote in one big sum, each state has so many electoral votes based on their population, the state tallies the vote and whoever has the most votes in that state those electoral votes for that state go towards that candidate, you cant win the election by a close call though, i dont remember the exact number of electoral votes you need but i think you have to have 2/3s majority or a new vote is held, so i hope that clears some questions.

next on bush, i am definitely against him. he seems to me like an immature president, right from teh start the way the bush and gore camps fought over the vote in florida was so childish (south park did a great episode making fun of it and of course the daily show ripped into that one too). when it comes to the wars in afghanistan and iraq there are definite mistakes, but some good. first of all afghanistan and iraq were our fault way before w bush took office. we gave the afghans weapons and equipment to fight the soviets in the cold war, but then we just left after the fall of communism. we originally backed saddam when he first took power, but then with the gulf war we finally took action against him, but we stopped short after that one battle (i forget its nickname) where bush pressed for saddams surrender in interest of his own political agenda, and schwartzkof made really stupid decisions afterwards. so all we did was send a country already in depression even further in depression with a monster in power and let it sit for 10 years. we went into iraq because we kept hearing all these reports of weapons of mass destruction, a threat to national security, and that we should be liberators of the iraqi people. we went to war under the pretense of our own selfinterest, not correcting our mistakes, we should help the iraqi people for what weve done and havent done (although i believe 87 billion dollars is a bit much!!!!) now were in iraq, and havent found any weapons, now the fact that we havent found any doesnt mean there arent any, but what burns me is when bush said "even i get bad information" about the weapons, this alone should seal him not being reelected. in that one phrase he just shook off all the responsibility for going into iraq, even though he was relying on the work of others, he is our president, he is the most powerful man in america, he is responsible for this entire country, if he got bad information, he shouldve made sure he could get the right information, made deeper inquiries, but no, its someone elses fault. it may be harsh to expect one man to carry so much responsibility, but thats the job. i cant think of an arguement to keep him in office, were in 2 wars (i still consider the iraq war open since people are still fighting and dying) and the economy has been in a slump ever since hes been in office. hes beligerant, heavy-handed, arrogant, and worst of all republican (although democrats are just as bad)

i could really go on but im kinda tired, ill add more later, but one comment in our defense. america is a young country, were only 227 years old, were still in our infancy, trying a form of government no one else had before, were not going to be perfect, were still trying to figure out what works and what doesnt, when you combine that with the fact that were the only super power in the world, thats kind of a predicament, its like a linebacker with the mind of a 2 year old, it can be very dangerous, but we do have some good ideas, and its definitely worth a shot.

also its not just bush that wanted to go to war, other leaders in our country agreed for whatever reasons, i dont think bush wouldve been dumb enough to go to war if the house and senate didnt agree (he actually can for 90 days w/o senate approval, scary huh?)

"...next on bush' date=' i am definitely against him. he seems to me like an immature president, right from teh start the way the bush and gore camps fought over the vote in florida was so childish (south park did a great episode making fun of it and of course the daily show ripped into that one too). when it comes to the wars in afghanistan and iraq there are definite mistakes, but some good. first of all afghanistan and iraq were our fault way before w bush took office. we gave the afghans weapons and equipment to fight the soviets in the cold war, but then we just left after the fall of communism. we originally backed saddam when he first took power, but then with the gulf war we finally took action against him, but we stopped short after that one battle (i forget its nickname) where bush pressed for saddams surrender in interest of his own political agenda, and schwartzkof made really stupid decisions afterwards. so all we did was send a country already in depression even further in depression with a monster in power and let it sit for 10 years. we went into iraq because we kept hearing all these reports of weapons of mass destruction, a threat to national security, and that we should be liberators of the iraqi people. we went to war under the pretense of our own selfinterest, not correcting our mistakes, we should help the iraqi people for what weve done and havent done (although i believe 87 billion dollars is a bit much!!!!) now were in iraq, and havent found any weapons, now the fact that we havent found any doesnt mean there arent any, but what burns me is when bush said "even i get bad information" about the weapons, this alone should seal him not being reelected. in that one phrase he just shook off all the responsibility for going into iraq, even though he was relying on the work of others, he is our president, he is the most powerful man in america, he is responsible for this entire country, if he got bad information, he shouldve made sure he could get the right information, made deeper inquiries, but no, its someone elses fault. it may be harsh to expect one man to carry so much responsibility, but thats the job. i cant think of an arguement to keep him in office, were in 2 wars (i still consider the iraq war open since people are still fighting and dying) and the economy has been in a slump ever since hes been in office. hes beligerant, heavy-handed, arrogant, and worst of all republican (although democrats are just as bad)"[/quote']

I couldn't have put that in a better way! and I'm glad people on/in the States realize how/what the political and economic situation is!

1st.- it's not a flag from Australia, it's from New Zealand

2nd.- What's the mnatter with my english? Is it so bad?
