4 Bank Holidays...and then we have other holidays off too like St. Patrick's day, Easter Monday, Christmas...etc.

Yeah it's the same here, apart from St. Patrick's Day obviously.

We call them Federal Holidays. Based on the post office schedule in the link we have 7 of them (the others on the list are standard holidays). All Government offices (and banks) are closed on those days. Business don't necessarily close, but some do.

I only found out yesterday why our summer holidays are so long. We have one of the longest summer holidays from School in Europe because it stems back to when students had to get off school to help with the farmer work, haha.

Actually I just remembered I'm going canoeing on Labor Day :awesome:

I'll be chilling on campus tomorrow...I moved in to residence yesterday and am still getting used to everything. :P
