Terrible news. 56 is too young for anyone, not least a man who gave so much of himself for others.

R.I.P Steve, your legacy will live on long beyond any of our years. Gone, but not forgotten.

i always hated apple computers and stuff but then i bought my first ipod in 2007 and realized how ingenious they are..

RIP Steve Jobs

Guess who's planning to picket his funeral? :|

wtf, seriously?

"We are so sad to hear about the passing of Steve Jobs. In all of our encounters with him he was such a lovely man, and always so humble about his incredible talents. Like all of the people he knew, and the millions of others he didn't, we will miss him. Love, Coldplay."

Why is a Church picketing his funeral?, people including the media shouldn't be there, it should be a funeral for his family and friends to mourn him.

RIP Steve, absolute legend, life just wouldn't be quite as enjoyable if it wasn't for your inventions :)

I'm not the biggest Apple fan, but I can most certainly respect the strides Steve Jobs has made in the advancement of technology. The world just lost one of the last of the truest, greatest inventors.

wtf, seriously?

^I'm half afraid my own Mother will say tomorrow that he was evil, and will be relieved he's gone. And I still call myself a Christian, at least in part. When will we leave the dark ages??

Sorry it's not from the best source, but here's a re-print of #42's blog entry from 2 years ago about Steve Jobs attending a gig. It was even mentioned on CNN tonight.

RIP to a true trail-blazer.

Fortunately not all Christians are like your mom, in fact only a very small fraction is. I hope you don't lose your faith only b/c of her. I do believe Steve Jobs was blessed with incredible gifts and by all accounts, he seems to have used them wisely during his time here on earth.

Anyone who would picket any funeral for ANY reason is a classless piece of human waste and should be ignored.

wtf, seriously?

I don't quite understand how he was considered 'evil'?? If you ask me.. idiots picketing a funeral are the ones who are evil!! LOL that crazy lady on twitter has @replied me a few times :uhoh:.... I blocked her. It was around the time NY passed gay marriage.... he user pic was enough for me to be disturbed. BLOCKED!! LOL

anyhoo... to think Jobs was a college drop out, followed his dream, and was a such a visionary is proof to anyone that anything is possible if we just believe. :)

Steve Jobs created so many jobs for people, and made our lives more fun and exciting with his products. We need more real businessmen like him, not just paper-pushers.

This is a sad day. Apple won't be the same without him. He was truely a genius.

let's see how apple will go in the next 6 months without steve :(
