I know this forum is about Coldplay, but was Robyn that bad? Can we hear from the people who went the first two nights at the Emirates? I am actually looking forward to hearing her in Washington, DC...

I guess if you like her, you'll enjoy it... I'd never heard of her before this.. so really didn't get her, but some people seemed to like it.. But the bass where we were was SO loud... I would definitely take earplugs for her set.. and Rita Ora's if she is supporting too.. SOOOO loud it hurt..

To be fair both support acts were poor. You'd have thought Coldplay could have signed up a few better acts, but unfortunately the choices are due to Chris' questionable music taste at the moment.

 

Both acts struggled to get the crowd interested. Half way through Robyn's set I could hear people moaning all around, and actually when she started one of her final songs there was a collective groan from the crowd! Awkward :confused:

 

But that being said, I had listened to a few of Robyn's songs before hand, so I didn't mind her that much, she's got a few decent pop tunes. But compared to Wembley 2009 the support acts were laughable...

not my comment, I've never seen Robyn, and don't think I know any of her songs.

I'm collecting tweets about the concert, and I'm going to give a balanced view.

 

there was either a tweet or small review from one of the other shows which commented they thought Coldplay themselves were poor. I'm not going to leave it out because it's a negative comment.
