Ya me too, but its not for certain sites, the same ones come up at random sites, even this site. They sometimes come up when I don't even have Internet Explorer open.

I fucking hate pop up adds. Lately, cause I leave my pc on over night, there's like goddamn near 20 of them.

The worst is when the xxx pop ups take up the entire screen and they just keep coming and people think you're actually looking on the site and you're like..oh no..that's not me..i hate that..hahahahah

Argh I just had a barrage of pop-ups and they changed my homepage

i know! this stupid popup comes up saying "you have been visiting adult sites. don't let your boss find out" and stuff like that. and there is also a what's it called....they have this thing advertising the paris hilton sex tape and i don't know how to get rid of it permanantly. i looked in the "add remove program" thing because last time i had an extra toolbar i could get rid of it there. but it's not there.

haha, ya its pretty bad when like ur mom comes in and she;s like what is this, and ur like, its not me!! or when ur little cousins are on it and there like what's goin on, and u just can't go there, ahaha. damn ads drive me nuts!! can't open one site without one popping up! brutal i tell ya. but i guess its because i have kazaa no? isn't that were most of the ads are coming from, becasue its supported by ads? i need to delete that thing!!

yeah everybody read what ian says, because i barely get any popups, then i go and use my parents' computer, and it's a constant assault of them.

stop using Internet Explorer (or whatever you use). I switched to Mozilla Firebird and i havent had a single pop-up since. you can search for it on yahoo, and it'll let you download it for free. Its fast and easy, just like IE but without all the crap.

i have internet explorer and never get pop ups :smug:

then you probably dont have anyone in your household who browses porn

another incredibly obvious solution that people forget is to turn up the privacy settings and cookie blockers.

well maybe I WILL

then you probably dont have anyone in your household who browses porn

i'm the only one who uses my computer. if i wanted to view porn it wouldn't be on the computer. i'm not that dumb :D

oh, I see, your one of those "smart" porn watchers.

:P :D

I really hate them... But here in Brazil, an internet provider created an anti-popup program... It´s really basic and only members of this provider can access the advanced features. It´s really usefull (I´m not a member of this provider).

What I really need is a spam blocker ! This really makes me cancel my e-mail accounts...
