ETIAW=Turning a negative into a positive.

Featured Replies

I remember watching an interview online where Chris talks about the meaning behind ETIAW.About how its means turning something negative into a positive.A tear into a waterfall.Until I heard this explanation I didnt quite understand what the title meant or what to make of it.I think by understanding the meaning of the title it helped me understand the song better as a whole.I often asked myself what the hell does ETIAW even mean.I think a lot of people just by looking at the title think its a cheesy Coldplay title.But I quite like the explanation and metaphor.I like the message its trying to convey.

^Yeah I agree, didn't get that either.

Before he explained it, I thought it meant something like: when someone cries (or shows any emotion) you should try to understand what they feel and comfort them, because that person must be in real pain, even if it's only one tear.

Guess I was kinda wrong. :P

Still by far my least favorite song on the album.
