Hey, this is my first thread, I hope I don't do anything wrong (and forgive me if this thread already exists but I don't think so) :D

 

We know how Coldplay is an "evolving" band. Lately I've been a bit confused because of all those moaning going on ("It was better before" etc). Yesterday night, when people started complaining about the setlist and how short the Glasgow concert was, I had enough. I needed positive vibes.

 

So I watched Chris' appearance on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and watching Chris doing the worm put a huge smile on my face :

 

One of the (million) reasons I still love Coldplay is that Chris is one of the funniest & cutest man alive :wacky: :lol:

 

So I figured: why not make a thread to remind ourselves why we still love them from the bottom of our heart ?!

 

You'll understand, this thread is for positive spirits, so no complaint or moaning around here, alright ? :D

PS: everyone has their own personal opinion of Coldplay, and I accept & respect that, here I just wanted to do some "cheering-up"/positive/optimistic thread, so I hope no one will feel disrespect or get mad at me... :shy:

Why Coldplay is so great.

 

They don't swear in their songs.

 

They have been the same 4 guys since the beginning.

 

They get along really well.

 

They become a different band for each album.

 

Their songs have beautiful melodies.

 

Will is a pretty good drummer for never drumming before he joined Coldplay.

 

Especially in the Viva era, Chris looks like he's in paradise while he's performing, and that happiness spreads to the audience.

 

All 4 of them are really nice when you meet them in person.

 

They get a lot of respect from some really good bands like U2 and Paul McCartney.

 

Chris has a unique, easily recognizable voice that sounds really cool.

 

Guy's bass parts are really simple, but they sound really cool.

 

Pictures of the band are so much fun to caption.

Reasons I love Coldplay:

When life gets me down, Coldplay's music can cheer me up, it's so optimistic and hopeful, lyrically beautiful.

 

Though I've never actually met them, I feel a connection with the band members because though they're huge stars, they're all such down-to-earth, quiet, genuinely nice human beings, and in today's music industry, that's pretty special.

 

They formed their band not because they wanted to become huge stars and make money, but because they all love making music, especially with each other. As chris has said before, even if people dislike the music, they still all love working with each other; their relationship always comes before money or fame.

 

I almost never like love songs, but Coldplay's music is so full of genuine emotion, I adore even the songs that are about love

 

I'm quite artistic, and every time I listen to a Coldplay song, I feel inspired, full of the need to paint or draw something.

 

I love the sense of community the love for the band has created on sites like this, I think it's so cool that I can talk about my favorite songs to a person on the other side of the planet.

 

And finally, the MUSIC. It's got such variety, sincerity, joy, sorrow, ranging across all sorts of textures and feelings. Never in my life has music made me feel this way, like dancing, shouting, crying and laughing all at once.

Because it's the best band in the world ! :)

Because their music seems to come down from heaven

Because they seem to come straight of a Paradise of perfect guys

Because chris is crazy, wonderful, magical, surreal, funny, inspirational, kind , incredibly beautiful and he's the sexiest angel I've ever seen

B/c they are reluctant and unpretentious rock stars

Chris has a voice of an angel

Jonny guitar riffs transport me to another planet

I go to bed every night with a huge smile on my face, listening to their witty interviews

At age 49, they're the only band I'll ever spend my precious time and money to see

I love even their "worse" songs

They can do no wrong in my eyes and it hurts when they are criticized, especially since I know how sensitive Chris is

Oh and Chris is hot but yet humble. I've never wasted my time following any celebrity ever, so this means Chris is very special

And yes, they're the best band in the world

Reasons I love Coldplay:

1. They make amazing music.

2. They're 4 genuinely nice guys who have been friends for 14 years.

3. They are incredibe live.

4. They make their fans feel really apprciated.

5. They are all very humble and sweet.

6. They are really really attractive.

Because they have talent and this is not commercial music

Dear Co. Lovers,

I think they are still big sunshines from which you feel the light and love, so boundless and soft...I think their energy will attract lots of people from different backgrounds, no matter how complicated the history or the old pains/wrongs fear/threaten us, and how that some of us seek Group security or false indentity under any type of government, organization or authority, by compromises [a dirty deal, or an unwilling silence when the crimes to love/light are still commonly done] and self-deception/degrading, the law of universe - love and light which have no any opposite, will still reinforce its message: stop the greedy wars/exploitation; there is just no way out of it. You are just digging your own tomb [degrading your soul's light/love level during multiple reincarnations].

There will be lightworkers/people united to ask for justice and communication/mutual understanding, and there will be liberations from any type of mind-controlling/manipulations. Because when you have love/light, you contrast all those darkness out. You can tell the truth/facts from lies, can tell potential misunderstanding from manipulations/distortment, tell ill purposes from unconditional love. The heaven in sight, seeing all these through, writing all these into, the pure flame of the soul.

 

I think the energies are reaching out and connecting to all parts that need more love/light [support/voicing etc.] if those of the music and the deed are the same in nature. Indeed, infinite reasons.
