fooboto
Someone HAS to know the answer to this. I've asked the Oracle countless times, but received no answer. Why is the current setlist for the Mylo Xylotour so short? 18-19 songs, compared to 24-25 songs of the Viva la Vida tour? Where have the mega hits, like Lovers in Japan, and Life in Technicolor ii (Grammy nominee!) gone? For the price I'm paying for the concert on April 21, I'm hoping to get my money's worth. So far, although each concert has seemed to kick some serious ass, it seems like are being somewhat ripped off. Knowing how awesome Coldplay is live, a concert would fly by in the blink of an eye. Where is the arena filler Don't Let It Break Your Heart - a song written for live performance? I really do hope that when the come to North America, they'll add some old favorites into the mix, and give the fans what they paid for.
getithom
Keep in mind, the MX tour started only one month ago. I'm fairly positive the VLV tour was also short at the beginning too.
golfing7861
When the major legs of the tour kick in, a new, longer set will be made.

That's unfortunate for those who bought for earlier shows
LauCH
^^^Is there any way we can check for that?
coldplayfan_115
I've thought about this too. But it is true, when you look at the Viva tour. The earlier shows setlists were shorter (about 19-20 songs) while the later ones were about 25. (Welcome to Coldplaying, by the way. :))
fooboto
^^^Is there any way we can check for that? The two blokes were right. I checked setlist.fm, and at the beginning of the Viva La Vida tour, only 16 or so tracks were performed. http://www.setlist.fm/search?query=artist:%28Coldplay%29+tour:%28Viva+La+Vida+Tour%29&page=

getithom
I'm going to a concert in June so I'd assume by then the setlist will be well-sized. I hope.

Yellow la Guy
That's unfortunate for those who bought for earlier shows  The early concerts are only to show off the new album and the new songs live! To bring it to a mass of people! .. people who buy now new tickets for the upcomming shows ;) It was not the official MYLO XYLOTO Tour ;)
DavidB5
I can't go to a concert, first of all because they aren't coming anywhere near where I live, and secondly I have very little money:(
The Duke
The 25 song setlist I'd want: 1. MX/Hurts Like Heaven 2. Lovers in Japan 3. Talk 4. Up in Flames 5. Viva La Vida 6. The Scientist 7. Every Teardrop is a Waterfall 8. In My Place 9. Reign of Love 10. Us Against the World 11. Up with the Birds 12. Violet Hill 13. Trouble 14. Death and All His Friends 15. Clocks 16. Major Minus 17. God Put a Smile on My Face 18. Sparks 19. Til Kingdom Come 20. Charlie Brown 21. Fix You 22. Politik 23. Life in Technicolor II 24. Yellow 25. My only wish for this upcoming tour is that the band decides to change the setlist up very often. Not only does it make for more fun, but it brings surprises to those who always check setlists, like myself.
prowlingfox
I would probably faint if they played Life in Technicolor ii. I'm going to the May 1 or 2 show, by the way.
TyM218
They had a B-Stage for Viva Tour. It'd be kinda hard to get a B-Stage at all of those festivals.
