July 31, 200619 yr Muse were AMAZING last night. Absolutly mind blowing. God. I went with my twin sister and a friend, and ran into about 5 other people that I knew, most that were friends of my brothers. On of his friends got right on the barrier, the lucky bastard. Even though he had red marks on his stomach after the concert. When we were waiting in line everyone started cheering and then we see chris and dom (wearing BRIGHT yellow pants) walk across the street to the go kart place. Some people went over there and I think met them and got autograph's, but I didn't want to lose my place because we were already moved into a seperate line. We were in line at about 6, doors were at 8. They took away our water, so I was really thirsty during the show. So yeah, the concert. Right when Muse came on the crowd just PUSHED and I was squished. I was dying for water during the concert but I didn't want to lose my place. I had some trouble breathing because the air was so hot and heavy and thick. I lost my friend and sister in the first song, but found my sister in the middle. My friend went off to the side because she's pretty little and didn't like being it that much. Oh, she's the same friend I went to the Coldplay concert with earlier this year. She's on this board as well but I don't know if she still comes. Some people in the crowd were really nice, like when I went down to tie my show since it was undone and it would get stepped on and I'd fall. This guy was like "Come on guys, everyone surround her so she doesn't get hurt." So I had like this barrier of people around me which was really nice of them. Somehow, during the concert I had a great view. I don't even know how, but I had a really good view of Matt the entire time.;) Some of my favourites that they played were Starlight, Plug in Baby, Knights of Cydonia, Apocolypse Please, Invincible...Didn't play Dark Shines though (but I wished they did). So yeah, that's my story. One of the best concerts I've ever been to, they were awesome. I loved it when matt played the guitar behind his head. *sigh* It was wonderful.

I remember last time I saw them, thats exactly what happened to me!! I thought I was going to pass out!! This time.. I'm going to mezzanine level.. lol I'm getting too old to be squished around like that at gigs!!!! Well.. maybe for Interpol still... lol but Muse is bonkers! glad you had an ace time! :nice:
August 2, 200619 yr so I just ripped my BHAR cd onto my work PC... and they only list Matt as the composer!!!!! For the ENTIRE album!! :stunned: wassupwitdat?? I know he arranged a lot of the strings and stuff.. but, the WHOLE album???? Nahhhhhhh.... tell me this is just Windows Media Player inaccuracy.... :uhoh:
August 2, 200619 yr They come to Paris this December -> Great ! I'd enjoy if they performed 'Hoodoo'. This is my favourite BHAR song. Love the lyrics. Hoodoo's the most underrated Muse song. I think it's one of their best. I absolutely love the part where the drums and quiet piano chords come in. I dunno why, it's just perfect. :D

The matter is that there's not much information in the booklet... I think it's like Absolution, (you know, composed by Bellamy/Howard/Wolstenholme and Written by Bellamy), because it seems to be the direction they follow. Hoodoo's the most underrated Muse song. And it's very easy to play (4 1/2 chords) Beautiful song.
August 2, 200619 yr Found a great (though slightly innacurate in places) review of the Toronto concert here: http://www.chartattack.com/damn/2006/08/0112.cfm Sounds like it was crazy. Still wish I could see them live. *sigh*
August 3, 200619 yr "Although their slower songs are traditionally the weaker points on their albums, a performances of "A Soldier's Poem" and "Invincible" provided a time to catch one's breath or, at the very least, get your ass out of the pit if you valued your life" Scew the songs being weaker. But I did see a good few people scrambling out. Or in some cases violently shoving people to get out.

Lyrically that is... but my booklet says Howard, Bellamy, Wolstenholme..:stunned: :P just teasing ya! ;)

August 3, 200619 yr Cool stuff. Too bad Rapidshare won't let me download the Muse EP cause I exceeded my download limit...ugh
August 3, 200619 yr Yesterday I heard Glorious for the first time and wow...:stunned: it's the same feeling I had when I first heard Map of the Problematique.. I loved it instantly:heart: wonder why it's only a bonus track.. I adore BHAR but I think there would've been room for Glorious too.. suppose they had their reasons:thinking:
August 3, 200619 yr Yes Glorious is amazing. :D It's beyond words. I got Rapidshare to give me the file. lol Man, this version of Overdue is so much better than Showbiz's, and Cave's not bad either but it's not much different. Oh man I need Muse songs! Anyone got the radio edit of Butterflies & Hurricanes (I hear there's guitars in it?) or any instrumental tracks besides Dead Star and Supermassive Black Hole? B-Sides? Ahh I want them all! :D
August 4, 200619 yr don't know if this has been posted......probably has http://download.wbr.com/quicktime/muse.html

I think their reason is that they have to set one song as extra-Japan song on each album, 'coz i know the Japanese love all bonus and collector's things... I really do not like the Showbiz' Overdue, but I love this one ! Butterfiles & Hurricanes (Radio) : http://rapidshare.de/files/28121511/Butterflies___Hurricanes__Additional_Guitar_.mp3.htm
August 4, 200619 yr i loved this butterflies and hurricanes versions but i just think the guitar detracts from the beauty of the song. i mean the beauty lies in the piano for this piece... and how it is complimented so well by dom's drumming and chris's wonderful bass lines. the whole piano solo, that's where the amazing part of the song is, it's supposed to be the whole climatic point in the piece, but it's kind of stripped away by the guitar... in my opinion...
August 4, 200619 yr the show was amazing last night!! When I get home tonight.. I'll write a full report.. post some video I got.. and some piccies..... let me just say this.... I heard Feeling Good for the first time LIVE! :nice:
August 4, 200619 yr Ohh I almost forgot.. here's the setlist.. :wink3: Take A Bow Hysteria Supermassive Black Hole Butterflies and Hurricanes <--- the piano was INSANE on this!! Starlight Forced In Bliss Feeling Good Soldier's Poem Invincible Plug In Baby New Born Stockholm Syndrome ENCORE -------------- Map Of The Problematique TIRO Knights of Cydonia :nice:
