  • I've been a Muse fan for a couple of years now. I liked a couple of their hits but then a friend invited me to come with him to a Muse concert with him in 2013. The live experience was amazing and I h

LOL I know!! Of course, I was kinding!! :D

But Dom's yellow tight yellow trousers...:wink3: like you said...make us crazy with desire

pff...I don't like her anyway :nice:

^^^ Rly? :\ I like that album, but it's different from the other ones though...

^ That's why I like it, it's different. :wacky:

^ Yeah, Muse are that kind of band that make different kinds of music, but the result is always awesome (I hope they won't start rapping...although it would be hilarious to see Matt making rap music  rap with falsetto) :P

Matt does want to collaborate with lady gaga and Jay Z

^^ The thought of it... :laugh3::laugh3:

^ Lady Gaga would be interesting. But Jay-Z... just no. :|

BH&R isn't Muse at their peak, but it's a healthy blend of their previous rock greatness and some of the more pop tunes that would come to follow in The Resistance (EdPlay should beware...The Resistance has some great rockers but also some real cheese). The reason I'm not always singing the praises of Muse's pop material is because it's so inconsistent. Supermassive Black Hole and Uprising are pop-rock songs done right. They aren't the band's best songs, but they're great at appealing to both Muse's core fanbase as well as their more casual one. Guiding Light and Neutron Star Collision? Not so much.

That said, Invincible is totally a guilty pleasure in spite of how cheesy it is.

^^^ NO! :|

^^ I actually prefer Jay-Z :wacky: I like his rap in "Empire State Of Mind" by Alicia Keys :wideeyed: But I'm not a fan

^ I never though I would say something like this but I hate Guiding Light :| Although Muse make some good cheesy rock songs

Guiding Light > Supermassive Black Hole.

^ :o :whip: I'm kinding  But I prefer Supermassive Black Hole, it was the first time I heard muse :bigcry: In the 6th July 2006 (btw, this looks weird but I only remember this because it was in my birthday )

i love GUIDING LIGHT and hate it when ppl make fun of it and muse do make the cheesiest rock songs and i love them:love:

^^ :p

I've never liked SMBH. :\

And I have a soft spot for Guiding Light because it gets so much hate. Yeah, I'm sad for feeling sorry for a song.

Starlight was the first Muse song I heard. :shame: November 2006.

^^:lol: Agree! I love them for that  They cheesy songs and songs like in Absolution \m/

^ I just don't like GuidingLight because I can't get into it, I always put the next song when I'm listening to The Resistance

Starlight was the 2nd one I heard :awesome: By that time too...but the first time I heard that song I hated it, now I LOVEEE Starlight! :D

AHHH WEMBLEY IS ON TV. Oh the memories... :dead:

^ :bigcry::bigcry: I want to see Wembley on TV too!! :( I really have to stop thinking about wembley or I'll go crazy...btw, I'm gonna watch HAARP tonight

^ rock bands should not try to become to pop influenced, muse were always experimenting with their music but muse went a little to far with B&H.

ask any1 and they'll tell you muse is not good when they go pop.

and Chris liking A-HA is different coz it was his choice to listen to pop rock whc he still listens to as he now loves U2:rolleyes:.

what is really good abt pop nowadays:dozey:.

I don't think Muse have ever become TOO "pop" influenced. Given that Matt's voice isn't pop-friendly, I don't think Muse could transform fully into pop if they wanted to (which, BTW, I'm pretty sure they don't). As for pop influences in itself, I don't really think it's a bad thing. Seriously, I don't see how pop has to be taken as the "icky" genre.

About Chris and a-ha...yeah, you kinda missed my point completely. She said there's nothing good about pop. She didn't say "pop nowadays" or give any other specific information. I was merely making the point that whether anyone else likes it or not, pop does have a standing in the music world.

And I sometimes listen to some pop music, like Maroon 5, ABBA, Pet Shop Boys, Robbie Williams, Bee Gees :awesome:, ... btw, don't judge because of this!

OOOOOH, Maroon 5. :wacky: They're one of my favorite groups, and they have been for years. Also, I actually have this 2-disc set of The Bee Gees' greatest hits. I used to listen to a lot of that when I was younger.

^most of the pop u listen to was 80's pop groups but the pop now is weird.

I think that most of the pop (not all bands) nowadays is to much about appearance, being famous and crappy lyrics :\ but in the 80's was freaking awesome

i love abba, pet shop boys ,Robbie Williams, Bee Gees and take that but now the pop is more abt the way these really young kids dress or rather undress

There is always good music from a certain genre. You just have to look for it.

^^ I love HAARP. Hopefully they will play Wembley again on their next tour. :awesome:

I can't believe I have been to Wembley 5 times though (3 football, 2 concerts) :freak:

^^I LOVE Maroon 5, seriously...you have no idea :| I know them since their first album :D Since "This Love" :dead:

And agree, I like at least a band from most of the genres of music the only one I don't like are those Metal bands which I can't understand what they're singin, it becomes frustrating!!! lol but they just scream to the microphone!! :P

^HAARP it's just amazing! :nice: I saw it the first time with my best friend in my house and we were almost drooling

You're so lucky... :\ I would like to go to Wembley one day :D

^ Heyyy, me too! :cheesy: "Songs About Jane" was actually the first modern music album I bought for myself. :wacky:

Haha, metal bands. I myself would rather not listen to a band that screams the entire time, but that's just me. I do listen to a bit of metal, though, so ehhh.

My friends are trying to get me to listen to Bring Me The Horizon. :|

^^I remember being in 5th grade and listening to She Will Be Loved :bigcry: the memories...

Once I found a Metal video on TV of one of those songs that you can't really understand the lyrics and I started to sing-a-long with my dad :laugh4: It was a great father-daughter moment...

^What's that?

Who's that?

AWWWWW, cute. :wacky:
