The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You

I don't really like Hoodoo either, until it gets a little faster... it's a little bit too slow in the beginning. :(

And Knights is horribly overplayed here--I still <3 it though. :nice:

  • I've been a Muse fan for a couple of years now. I liked a couple of their hits but then a friend invited me to come with him to a Muse concert with him in 2013. The live experience was amazing and I h

If I hear Starlight on the radio I count myself lucky... for some stupid reason it's either:

a) Pop

b) Country

c) R&B, or..

d) Effing hip hop

^^Agreed.

The only time I can hear Muse on the radio is when alternative is on in the University of Pennsylvania (UPENN) radio station.

Well, my favourite is Assassin, yeahee, Dom does a good job!

But i have to agree with you about Hoodoo..it's not a bad song, but i just don't like it as much as some other songs

If that's what you call a good job, then I'd love to hear what you call great drumming. :shocked2:

Listen to metal/jazz/fusion. :P Friggin' amazing drumming. :freak:

But seriously Dom does a really good job--the drum part is awesome and fitting. :D It sounds like he's using a double kick pedal but it's not. :freak:

Well, there's this one station (KROQ) that friggin' loves Muse. :laugh3: Well, morning show hosts love Muse, and that's when I'm listening usually. So yeah, they play a lot on there. :nice:

Ha, but i just love Dom's drum solo..ah, it sounds great.

Metal drummers do a good job, too, though!

Metal is shit, I don't care about technicality, it sounds so bad, and sloppy.

Well yea, if i listen to metal, i mostly just listen to the drums if they're cool. Mwah, i don't listen metal really, though..

yesterday I had to ask for a song in the radio and I played.. plug in baby

Muse are seriously thee best band today.

No doubt about it.

I don't think I have ever loved a band so much.

Not even Coldplay can touch them

What a proclaimation^^^^^:P. I bet you are rocking out to them right now.

Well at this very moment I agree but Coldplays next album is looking promising... I think Radiohead could touch them ;)

U2 is so far better

Radiohead is to..pretentious.

But thats only my opinion.

Old Coldplay could have possibly come close to the worst of Muse..

But thats just a little close...haha.

I don't think Coldplays next will be anything but commercial.

I thought the same thing about Muse when I was first getting to know them but now I adore them.

As for Coldplay, We'll just have to wait and see ;)

but it wont be shit and you mixed up Coldplay with Muse;)

No I didn't!!!

Haha, Even live, Coldplay cannot touch Muse, Coldplay have a lot of gimics to look like a better, more humble live band, But with Muse live, they don't really need to talk half the show to have a good crowd connection, and they just play.

They don't attempt to forget words to songs, they don't run out into the crowd, they don't lie down on the stage for no really apparent reason, and they at least change up setlists from night to night, and play b-sides, and songs other than singles.

Coldplay has potential to be as good as Muse, but they are too wrapped up in EMI's assholes. Which is very sad.

Wow. I just saved more pictures of Muse (612) in a few weeks than I did Coldplay pics (600) in... a few years. :freak:

But I still have more Coldplay pics :smug: --I have 500 that I took. :laugh3:

I just got my tix to see Muse in the mail today!

I still <3 Coldplay--I'm not as obsessed with them as I am with Muse ATM, but, I'm not going to a Coldplay concert within the next 2 months unlike Muse. :laugh3: Upcoming concerts kinda get me... obsessed. :uhoh:

CP news is going kinda slow so... it's kinda hard to keep interest in a band that hasn't really been doing anything for the past few months. :/

Muse on the other hand... :wink3:

I feel really bad because I was voted biggest Chris/Coldplay fan. :laugh3:

I didn't even campaign for the Coldplay fan part! Ah!

Don't worry though--I haven't forgotten Coldplay. :)

I'm flying to California and I'm coming with you to see Muse Alyssa.

If thats alright with you..:laugh4:

I wish.

Radiohead is too..pretentious.

Well I think in no way one can compare Radiohead with Muse.

My opinion is that Radiohead IS the greatest band around today, from far, but Muse share comfortably the second place with The Mars Volta in my heart.

Where have you found that Radiohead are pretentious ?

Dont get me wrong, I like Radiohead, they are all right, But Thom Yorkes voice is annoying to me, I like some of there songs, where it isnt such an extreme whining pitch, but I would never consider them to be anything like Muse, and cannot see where comparisons come from, because I hate Thom's voice, but I looooove Matt'.

And they seem to try to hard to me to seem strange, and alienesque.

Or just like they are much different than anyone else.

I haven't really researched them before, so I could be wrong, but thats just how they seem to me. But maybe they aren't pretentious, I dunno.

Maybe they are really weirdos.

Hahah :laugh4:

Muse is one of my favourite bands but at the moment coldplay it's pretty much interesting for me... maybe it's because the concert (in 9 days I'll see them) so now it's all about coldplay.... but I know that muse concerts are soooo great-.... I can't wait to see them live... hope someday they'd come here
