  • I've been a Muse fan for a couple of years now. I liked a couple of their hits but then a friend invited me to come with him to a Muse concert with him in 2013. The live experience was amazing and I h

Accidentally or on purpose? :surprised:

Goodnight Ren. :lips:

Nope they didn't :o People were bitching cos they said they played that gig for the twilighters, too many cheesy songs in a row :P Check it out

This setlist on the other hand...is made of win

Thanks. They got Soldiers Poem? Wow. I have to admit, I prefer the setlist I got. :p Although, I do envy the night before for getting Butterflies and Hurricanes. :bomb:

He fainted? :o omfg... that concert must have been EPIC!! :awesome:

Yeah, poor dude. It was only the second song.

I broke some guy's nose during a moshpit once :uhoh:

Ahaha, go you! :p

I broke some guy's nose during a moshpit once :uhoh:

REALLY?? OMG! LOL

EDIT: Bye ren! :)

Yeah, poor dude. It was only the second song.

He fainted in the second song?! lol it was fast! :| Now I'm afraid of going to Wembley

:stunned:

I'm so glad you surivived man :P

:laugh3:

I was fine- I was at the barrier! The mosh pits were a bit behind me. A mate of mine was in one though, he was alright apart from a nose bleed :P

^ :laugh4:

Now I remember...my mom was in the exact place of the moshpit  in the end of the concert she was saying "I survived, I survived!!" I think she was really scared :P

ahahaha she says that doesn't want to go to Rock in Rio anymore and that next time I'll go alone with my friends

Muse were absolutely fucking incredible last night!!! I went on my own (first time i've ever done that before :stunned:) and ended up quite near the front, near the metal steps that come off the middle of the stage and down to the moving platform. This was great during the support acts (Whites Lies and Biffy Clyro also fucking rocked the place btw!!:bomb:) but as soon as Muse came on everyone went completely nuts and i realised i was in the mosh pit (i have the bruises to prove it). :o I'm only very slight in build and i instantly started panicking that i'd fall over and be trampled on, i was really scared. :uhoh: But somehow, during the second song, SMBH, i managed to escape to about 10-12 rows further back where it felt somewhat more safe. I ended up next to this really nice Australian guy who started talking to me and we sang/rocked out together for the rest of the gig. :D We also got THE most unbelievable setlist - Bliss, House of the Rising Sun (which no-one knew the words to ), Ruled By Secrecy (never in a million years thought i'd get to see that live :dead:), Map of the Problematique, Mk Ultra, Citizen Erased, even a Back in Black outro (can't remember which song this was to)!:freak::dead: I loved the moving platform which they performed Undisclosed Desires on - i got a really great view of the 3 of them performing and Matt defo looked in our direction at one point. :bomb::bomb: He looked awesome in his flashing LED suit and blue striped shades. :wacky: The giant UFO with the acrobat dangling from it that they used during Exo Pt. 1 was pretty spectular as well - reminded me of seeing them perform Unintended there back in '07 with the acrobats suspended from the balloons. :nice::wacky:

There is only 1 bad thing i can think of from the whole day - i lost my new mac!! :bigcry: I'd only had it about a week and i tied it round my waist cos i was hot in the crowd - i guess i didn't tie it tight enough though cos once i managed to escape the mosh it i realised it'd gone missing! I feel like such an idiot about that. On the plus side, it was only £19 from Primark but still. :(

EDIT: I've got a few videos and pics of Muse which i will post as soon as they're all uploaded.

EDIT EDIT: I also have a few vids of White Lies and Biffy Clyro if anyone wants me to post them.

Lucky. :disappointed: My mom agreed to go, but now she's mad she agreed to go with me. :wtf:

We're seated, so it's not even like she has to worry about moshing. I'm just hoping that my parents let me see more concerts than this one. (They're very overprotective. :disappointed:)

Oh, if you're 14 I think your parents should take you :) In the next Rock in Rio I'll be 17 (almost 18) so mom says I can go alone :nice:

I want to see Coldplay too, and Franz Ferdinand, U2 and Kaiser Chiefs, I can't die without seeing all these bands

Yeah, i know, i can't believe i managed to lose it! :( I'm just glad it wasn't a very expensive one and i know i had nothing in the pockets.

The moshpit was really fucking scary, esp since i'm only small and i was on my own. I have aches and pains everywhere today - the back of my shoulders, the tops of my arms, my back, my sides... even my bum hurts! The thing is - and this probably makes me sound really stupid - i really didn't have a clue how near the front i could afford to be without risking getting crushed.:embarrassed: I even asked people on the Muse boards before i went but no-one replied to my post. :\ I ended up facing the wrong way round and almost couldn't turn around again during SMBH :wtf::lol: I was clinging onto the nearest t-shirt/jacket/anything i could for dear life! :uhoh2:

I'd been in a mosh pit once before years ago when i went to see We Are Scientists at Brixton Academy. There were people crowd-surfing and everything and i saw several people being taken over the barrier either bleeding, crying, or cos they'd fainted. :shocked2:

EDIT: I also have one of the streamers that exploded all over the front of the crowd (i can't remember which song that was during) as a souvenir! :awesome:

^thank god u're in one piece and enjoyed the gig. I'm just jealous of u, cant say anything else:cry:

^ :laugh4:

Now I remember...my mom was in the exact place of the moshpit  in the end of the concert she was saying "I survived, I survived!!" I think she was really scared :P

Haha, my mom was like that too last night, she had to go out, she couldn't handle it.

Seems like you were very close to me at the start. :awesome: Which side were you?

I'm glad you escaped, it was pretty mental!

Aw, RIP to your mac. :( I almost lost my shoe there.

I didn't realise you were 13  I thought you were older. We are similar ages :awesome:

I only need to see the Killers then I have seen my top 3 bands :D

I hope you get to see Coldplay, The Killers, and Mew :cheesy:

^^^I had bruises too, after rock in rio :\ It was a really painful experience, but the BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!! No doubt!! :wideeyed: SMBH was...scary :| I really thought I was going to fall and die right there, I had to hold myself to a friend mine :stunned: It was SCARY! :P

Same here. I was like clinging on for dear life to some random guy who is like 6ft  My legs are acheing all over, and have bruses everywhere. You are on the Muse board?:awesome:

Oh yeah! I kept the streamers too, from Guiding Light I think. Also some confetti from the eye balls in Plug in Baby. :D

^ eye balls from plug in baby?! :wtf:  what was that??

When Plug in Baby was being played, there were lots of balloons with eyeballs on them

@Hysteria - At the start, i was on the right hand side (ie. Chris's side) of the metal stairs/moving platform thingy, probably about 10-15 feet away from it. Where were you then?

And to answer your question, yeah i'm on the Muse board, my name's kindakooky over there, what about you?

@ines - omg u have to find a video of Plug in Baby from last night with those giant eyeball balloons, they were awesome!!
