anyone know if there is a way to use msn but not download the program. like a website thingy. i seem to recall there was a site you could go to and login and you could use msn. anyone know what i am talking about?

yeah. that was Sprint's service. It's no longer for free.

For free, try using this one: Trillian.

http://www.trillian.cc

Trillian asks you to d/l their program but you can just d/l onto temp. folder and it'll get deleted when you log off/turn off the 'puter.

Good thing about Trillian is that it's free. And it lets u connect to msn, yahoo, aol, icq, and some other sh*t all from just one single program. Kinda cool, eh?

hope that helps....

yahoo also has a less-powered messenger for which you don't need any downloads. try: messenger.yahoo.au (it's the unix version listed on the left)

thanks but i'm not even going to attempt downloading it because i know it will say restricted access or whatever. but thanks for your help anyway! :)

oh

you know what.

sometimes the computer and the 'restricted access' system doesn't know or care for the older versions of these software. and you can d/l those with ease!! lol I know, 'cuz I used to be behind a firewall all the time....at the univ...

try this one: http://www.oldversions.com

or is it oldversion.com? something like that....

it's free as well. and i bet you can d/l an older version of msn right thru the firewall! hehe

good call.

but most of those services got their plugs pulled... kiwi.com and what not...

Try Miranda also... But I forgot the website...
