My calvin harris bounce remix feedback please :)

So I remixed this song, even tho it's not coldplay :( :) I play all keyboards since I could't find the samples :P It has been mixed and mastered so enjoy and please don't stop yourself from a download. I'm a young (16) English musician and I do lots studio work so if there is anything you would like mixing of mastering please don't be afraid to ask .

this is boring. it doesn't really do anything, the synths are obviously amateur and it's hardly different from the original.

The key to being a good producer is finding your own sound. this isn't your own sound...

I listened to it yesterday and yeah felt the same, it's not exactly creative, you figured out how to play the main melody and messed around with it a little bit, put slightly different beats behind it. Also the sound is incredibly sharp, to the point I had to turn my headphones like way down (to 1/4 of the loudness I'd usually listen to music on).

I couldn't really call it a remix.

Hmmmmmmm you may be right, I don't usually work on this type of music being a fan of a whole different genre. Being in a fairly successful local band I do take criticism given and try to learn from it, so that's what I will do from this :) BTW it's hard to produce synth when your a bass player ;) but thank you for the feedback

As I said I do take what people say and use it to good power :) so thanks for the feedback! You may be right about the sound to be honest I should have tried various playback systems to make sure that the highs were not too sharp, could just be the second layer of synth I don't know  although I should. Yet again I did mention that I don't work on that style of music much being a hardcore coldplay fan but perhaps I should stay away from it :P I'm sorry I mumble on I'm very British

Yeah I'm sure from being in a fairly successful local band you sound level headed enough to take constructive criticism. :)

New page with no promotion yet!! oh and you my ginger friend have 184 likes on your page, not an amazing amount either..... :/ especially since you claim to be a "super group" :O and are signed to a label :O which I have never heard of and probably is for random child acts :L I have played with some of Britain's best indie band guitarists and you?

Excuse me, but neither success nor the ammount of 'likes' om facebook mean being a good musician, which I believe is what you guys are aiming at?

I'm not bothered about likes, it was this joker that started the like thing. I respect all music and agree with you completely :) it's just some people have to make it into a Facebook battle. I don't really want an argument :'(

Wow, just wow.

^I can't think of a more appropriate situation when the term 'playing the victim' comes to mind, just looking at those 2 quotes.

Of course I'm referring to the thread starter with their hilariously smug avatar, not Eddilly.

he also sent me a PM calling me a "ginger ****"

Hahaha! What a fucker.
