"We Love Rock Music", a page on Facebook is contesting "Battle Of The Bands" which will involve all the major bands like Arctic Monkeys, Radiohead, Coldplay, Muse, Arcade Fire, The Killers, U2, Foo Fighters, Porcupine Tree, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The National, Sigur Ros, Kings of Leon, Green Day and Snow Patrol.

 

They will go one-on-one against each other daily (2 selected bands) and move on to further rounds.

Yay! Someone following this! I voted for Sigur Ros too. Love them to the core but Pocrupine Tree are relatively more famous. I just hope out of the blue people vote in heaps for Sigur Ros and they advance to the next round. *prays*

Well, the voting lasts for only 1 day after which a new batch of bands are put against each other so after the poll's been done, the link is removed to avoid any further voting. The results are declared though.

 

Red Hot Chili Peppers won which was a surprise for me but this competition is going great.. Lots of more amazing bands to come. Trust me.

I think I'll go with The Killers, though, because I've known them longer and, despite my initial thoughts of "Sam's Town," I like more of their stuff. With Arctic Monkeys, I'm a bigger fan of their earlier albums, but not so much the later ones.
