Frank Ocean Covers the Isley Brothers' "At Your Best (You Are Love)" for Aaliyah

On his Tumblr, Frank Ocean has shared a cover of "At Your Best (You Are Love)"—the Isley Brothers' 1976 single that was famously covered by Aaliyah in 1994. Yesterday would have been Aaliyah's 36th birthday.

Kanye West Performs "All Day" at the BRIT Awards

Kanye West performed new track "All Day" at the BRIT Awards tonight. He performed surrounded by a huge crowd of people, clad all in black, as well as a pair of blowtorches. The song featured Theophilus London and Allan Kingdom. It's been clarified that the song was produced by West and co-produced by Velous. French Montana brought West the beat.

So Mumford and Sons just dropped this new single for their upcoming album in May. This track totally is reminding me of Coldplay's X&Y era (i.e. keyboards, atmosphere, anthem chorus).

In fact, I am going to guess this album is going to be their X&Y: Dressing it up like it is really different (all going to be electric instrumentation) but really is the same kind of music with some new effects. Getting that vibe. Decent track though, like the electric guitar, but pretty generic I think.

Hear Jamie xx’s dreamy new track ‘Alba’

Jamie xx has unveiled ‘Alba’, a melancholy cut that sounds like it was made with the morning after in mind. The track had its premiere on Hopkins’ Radio 1 Residency show last night, appearing alongside music from Daniel Avery, Paula Temple and Fhloston Paradigm, plus Hopkins’ own School of Seven Bells remix from his new Late Night Tales compilation. Stream ‘Alba’ via BBC iPlayer – it appears 58 minutes into the show. The track is coming out as a 7″ on Young Turks this Record Store Day, April 18.
