Hey guys,

 

I've been debating giving this a try for a few days. Very unstraightforward song vocally and instrumentally. I layered two acoustic guitars and two vocals. I decided to tune the guitars (D#-G#-C#-F#-G#-C#) and (D#-G#-C#-F#-B-D#) Then the chords consist of major and minor shapes with the high two strings open in the traditional Chris Martin style. This cover is a semitone flat from the key in the album version. So to play along with the album track, all the tunings need to be pitched up one semitone. Essentially, the pattern is, Amin, Gmaj, Fmaj. occasionally an Emin or Cmaj thrown in. It's all very neatly within a major key. Cheers. Charlie

I also did a little cover of Til Kingdom Come. Someone in internet land requested a tutorial so I figured it out and ended up playing it cause why not! I never was a huge fan of the song, but having played it for the first time and having listened again to work out how to play it, it really is quite a nice song. The tuning is C-A-C-G-B-C. Basically just sliding this formation up and down (0-3-0-0-1-0) and also occasionally this chord (0-0-0-2-1-0) :)
