Expect a new album next spring.

Looking forward to it!

I started working backwards through their discography a few months ago, and I really, really like what I'm hearing. One of my biggest regrets is not seeing them live last year when they stopped by my town. :bigcry:

I thought this brief east coast tour toward the end of a year where they didn't tour was extremely random, but I'm glad they're testing out some new material (I'm not at home right now so I'll have to listen when I get back). Seems like we could have both Stars and Metric touring next year! :D

"Hold On When You Get Love and Let Go When You Give It" is the best indie pop song all year.

Only listened to the full album twice so far, but that three-punch of "A Song Is a Weapon/Progress/The 400" is stellar.

"The Loose Ends Will Make Knots" is the unfortunate stinker that pops up once every Stars album.

I agree with you, Hold On is amazing, the bass drives is.

I am a fan of "Walls" and how haunting it is. Through The Mines is good, but I am a sucker for Backlines.

I NEED AN MP3 of this asap

bump!

saw them at MTV in Toronto for 3 songs and then at 102.1 The Edge for an acoustic performance. Met Torq, Amy, Evan and new guitarist Chris - they were all amazing.

I got my 'Set Yourself On Fire' album sleeve signed which I've had since it came out!

BUMP!

Stars opened for Metric at the ACC as they did for all Metric's shows across Canada; here's a couple tunes,

Saw and met them at ACL last month and got my copy of The North signed. Great set in spite of unfortunately having an early-day set before most festival goers arrived. Sadly, I had tickets for their LA show a week later and caught a horrible flu, so I couldn't go. Sad times. Hopefully they'll return before the end of the tour. New songs sound great live, though! (and "Hold on..." is the most jump-able live song ever)

they all sound fantastic! I agree....

I met torq, amy, evan and new guitarist chris in september, having my SYOF sleeve signed is like no other

One can also only assume they will have another tour (at least in Canada) where they are headliners
