I have to admit when I heard it I thought Kelis had released the FM104 version as her own. Then I saw the videosong on MTV and I was like 'Where's the Billie Jean bit' :confused: :confused: duh!!!!

Grammy award nominations aren't a real good critical review, in my opinion. They're far too populous. I would rather look at some of the music magazines (most of which rated Kelis's album favorably).

This is her thrid album. Neither of the previous releases have been commerical successes. She's also a featured vocalist on many hip-hop tracks, most totably working with the Neptunes ("Milkshake" was produced by them). This song represents her most overt attempt at the mainstream market.
