NEW! Artwork Elimination Game (Pre-Parachutes)

Featured Replies

Hey guys! I am restarting the Artwork Elimination game. But this time, I am going by Era to make things easier. First, we have the Pre-Parachutes Era. This probably shouldn't take that long. Here are the artworks:

1. Safety (EP) - 1998

2. Brothers and Sisters (EP) - 1999

3. The Blue Room (EP) - 1999

Brothers and Sisters

Only now with this juxtaposition of images did I notice that B&S and TBR have the same colour scheme !

Off-topic, does anyone no why The Blue Room EP is called like that ?

i thought it had something to do with where it was recorded, like in a room that was blue :P

well, i just googled it now and here's an answer from the Oracle:

Q. Good day to you Oracle,

I was wondering if the name for The Blue Room Ep stemmed from an unreleased song with that name; quite like LeftRightLeftRightLeft (Coldplay's live album from the Viva La Vida Era).

As always I appreciate your time and consideration.

Thanx

Dan

P.S. How Is Your Life Today?

THE ORACLE REPLIES

There was never a song called The Blue Room; it doesn't exist, unlike Leftrightleftrightleft that does but hasn't been released (as you say).

The Blue Room got its name from the studio where it was recorded.

p.s My life today is great. Thanks for asking!

ok, so not so far off.

I think I can prove The Oracle wrong.....shown here on Coldplay's first website, it says that The Blue Room was a working title for a song!

Interesting ! You know what's interesting as well ? That Waiting In Line is not Shiver...it must be an early title for the song Parachutes then.

Also, no Yellow yet !

maybe the title is as far as they got with the song

What if it was both? :D

Still interesting nonetheless... How did you find this really early picture?

There is an archive section on our website of old websites. And both Coldplaying and Coldplay tweeted that pic today

The Blue Room - 2

Brothers and Sisters - 3

EDIT: Your link seems to be broken, when i click on it it logged me out and when I tried to log back in it didn't work. Had to manually go though the website and find it to not get logged out. Did get frustrated and confused... But it worked now for me I put my vote in :D just a warning to anyone else you may experience this problem! (I am on Android mobile using web browser. New phone ugh, need to somehow transfer the Coldplaying app from my old to my new, would be great if I could do that...
