If Hurts Like Heaven Was Played Again

Featured Replies

Just curious, but if Coldplay were to play Hurts Like Heaven for the AHFOD tour, how were they to start it? Would they have to start the song with Mylo Xyloto so the beginning isn't so abrupt, or would they make a new intro for it.

Thoughts, ideas?

As long as they played it, I wouldnt mind!!

I expect they would have some intro, maybe not as long as MX though.

And I imagine they would play it near the start of concerts.

none of the opening songs from albums really get much play live outside of their own eras apart from Don't Panic and Politik to a much lesser extent. it would be really cool to hear any of them again, to be honest...

but maybe HLH would work really well in conjunction with Birds  i don't know if before or after would work better. maybe i'll try listening to them one after another and get back to you on this :P

also... one last thought, i promise. i don't think they'd use MX, but they could open the song the way the radio edit opens, which is essentially like using the last few seconds of MX, but not the whole song :P

I still hope them to do an acoustic version during the C-Stage at some point

I was actually thinking about this a couple of days ago - how cool it would be to hear HLH or maybe Major Minus again. I love those two songs, so catchy and they give me such energy. :D I think they would use some kind of intro, maybe like in the radio edit, but not whole MX. :) But HLH would actually fit with the songs during this era in my opinion. :)
