Steppenwolf, were you serious about liking Stiglitz in that other topic?

Oh surely, why not? he wan a Nobel and his book is about how global institutions as the IMF (or MFI... I don't know the name very well) are doing they're job wrong and at the same time making bigger the breach between rich and poors

I know he won a nobel, thats because his work was great.

And then came the disapointingly bad Globilization and its Discontents, in which he says "Hey! Lets forget the facts, throw that out the window... Lets write useless bile because Im a nobel winner and I can do what I like!"

Its a bit harsh to assume hes using his status to become lazier, but now hes playing fast and loose with the facts. OK its not a horrible book, but compared to his earlier work it certainly is. His guide is wide and vague, he takes cheap shots at the general, WORLD ELITE as you think he would actually lower himself to refer to. Its all over the place.

Im sorry, I just couldnt comprehend how Chomsky's Rogue States is even comparable to such blandness.

use a condom! :stunned:

But I do... :stunned:

And then came the disapointingly bad Globilization and its Discontents, in which he says "Hey! Lets forget the facts, throw that out the window... Lets write useless bile because Im a nobel winner and I can do what I like!"

Actually he did work in the Global bank or one of that institutions, and based on that he exposes valid arguments in his book how the globalization just works for the interests of rich and powerful countries instead helping poor ones. As he said the globalization can be a powerful tool for help but if is used wrong as it is used now can be very harmful. ;)

But well if that's ur point of view about the book I respect it

only if you put on a wicked awesome baseball cap, spin it backwards and wear avril lavigne style clothes  i know she's not rap, just never seen anyone wear her stuff

Hideous no! NO LORD NO

no IT HAS TO SOUND MORE GHETTOLICIOUS. how bout MANDA THE MC SLAMMA. now im a rap/punk. ok watch me get rapuncky on your assy!

yo yo yo whats up whats up the manda slamma is in da house bitch now kiss my feet ya or ill cut off your testies i dont give a fuck if that dont rhyme because i love diet coke and i can party all night!

Steppenwolf- Yes I do get the structure and the basis of the book, and its a good topic and he exploits it well in parts. For thorough compelling reading though, the book takes dips and dives all over the place. I thought through some of it that a five year old helped him write some of it.

But I respect your opinion none the less, if you like it. Hell I wasnt even reading such books at 15 (But I wont undermine you because of your age). As long as you have read (Or plan to read) his earlier work then all is good.

being 15 is the shizit! kidding i hate it with a fiery tasty passion.

Im gonna be Ska Rap Punk, so Im just going to refer to it as Spunk.

Im gonna spunk all over this joint beehotches.

Actually I did read it last year for school, dada

We were never so lucky in school. :(

reilly did you like how i put the rapunky on this jointy? with my hot ass rap?
