February 8, 200422 yr Author I dont think we have it here on DVD :( I want sooooooo much... I have my fave movies on dvd.. Just missing one or two... I buy too many DVDs ... need to start being more selective as I'm not making so much money that I can just buy anything I want.
February 8, 200422 yr Author So the first thing to talk about is ... if you're a guy, are you an Ally Sheedy or Molly Ringwald guy? if you're a girl, are you a Jud Nelson or Emilio Estevez girl? (my movie is rewinding) YEEEEEEEEEEES ! A thread about my fave movie ever ! Richard, you´re the coolest ! I had a crush on Judd Nelson back then :) My fave character still is the basketcase... Man, I can relate to her soooooooooooooooo much ! Like, I can stay in one place and no one notices me... And I don´t care :D John Hughes was my fave movie director.... Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink.. He really liked Molly Ringwald (and so did I). I used to watch it everyday... and I made my friends watch it too :D Everyone here should watch this movie, cause it´s the best ever ! I love the part where she draws the scenic picture and then has dandruff fall from her hair to simulate snow ... ... and how she is so proud of it. Good moment. This movie is definitely one of my top 10 favorite movies of all time (not to be confused with top 10 best movies of all time). This movie is always fun. That part was sooooo funny! That is also one of my favorite parts! this movie is hilarious...i almost want to rent it again...you have given me an idea!! I'm going to go buy the DVD soon ... ... maybe I'll just mail you my VHS copy ... IF you're nice to me (which you always are). Wow!! :o Cool! You have a DVD burner....oh you tape it on VHS...i get it :) I'm in the mood to watch a really funny movie today! Well, I do have a DVD burner at work. Did you want me to do that for you? Wow ... do I want to break the law for Gisela? I don't know. Usually I'm a pretty straight-laced guy. I can't even remember the last time I J-walked.
February 8, 200422 yr Author Actually ... ... I live in the middle of downtown in the sixth or seventh largest city in the nation. It would be downright unethical if I didn't jay walk. Not to mention I'd never get anywhere.
February 8, 200422 yr Author So I think that when Molly Ringwald and Emilio Estevez get back to school on Monday they kind of try out the whole relationship think with their outcast counterparts, but then they move on not able to defy their concept of right and wrong for too long.
February 8, 200422 yr òh.. it´s a '79 movie directed by Walter Hill. Gang movie. There´s this gang meeting in the Bronx, then the leader of the biggest gang in the city is killed by a guy from other gang (they weren´t supposed to bring weapons to the meeting). then, the guy that kills, acuses the warriors from killing the man. They spend the night running from cops and other gangs to make it to Coney Island. Some people watch it or read the plot and find it boring.. I really love this movie.. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080120/
February 8, 200422 yr oh my brother has that on video!! Yeah I thought it was a little boring :/ but I'm not into films like that with street fighting and such :)
February 8, 200422 yr Author That's a really high IMDB.com rating, though. With >3000 votes, odds are it's pretty good. I wonder if Netflix has it.
February 8, 200422 yr Author OK, now the lamest part of the movie ... where Molly Ringwald does the makeover of Ally Sheedy and then preppy wrestler opens his eyes. I could have done without that. He didn't have to see that to like the klepto-nympho.
February 8, 200422 yr Author see, I don't think she does. I think she looks awkward ... ... but as you mentioned, it is the end of the movie :bigcry: end of the thread? we'll see.
February 8, 200422 yr No.. this isn´t the end of the thread... Ok.. I remembered a scene that freaked me out first time I saw the movie: when John is locked in that little room and the principal starts to threat him... asking Bender to punch him in the face... just to prove that he wasn´t tough as he showed...
February 8, 200422 yr Author That's such a weird scene. Dick had problems, challenging an 18 year old to a fight ... but I'm not sure what the scene did for the movie. I see that scene and the Dick/Carl scene and think that there was a more developed Dick-story line that got left on the cutting room floor, the small remnants seen in these two scenes.
February 8, 200422 yr Kids don´t change.. adults do... "And these children that you spit on as they try to change their worlds Are imune to your consultations they´re quite aware what they´re going through" David Bowie - Changes (right in the beginning of the movie)
February 8, 200422 yr I'd say if you mix Jud Nelson's character with Anthony Michael Hall's character, you get the guy I would like..not the looks cos I think they're both weird looking, but well..Anthony Michael Hall is cute in geeky way, but Jud Nelson is fugly, lol soo yes, ooo I also like the weird rebel girl, she's like...my idol, well..at the beginning and middle of the film she is lol
February 8, 200422 yr Author Weird rebel girl's your idol? No wonder you were trying to induce a 30-year-old man to fondle you. It's all coming together now. All the puzzle pieces are forming your picture.
