March 20, 200422 yr dashboard isnt bad....theyre music is just getting more attention and that makes them happy so they start writing music to please society altogether not just the emo crowd. yep, used to like them, but they've kind of worn off on me.

June 24, 200422 yr hahah vindicated..thats one awesome song..they sang it last night... he also admitted to having an infatuation with sarah michelle gellar and dedicated the song Hey Beautiful to her hahaha. God that guy rocks.
June 25, 200422 yr Well, since you asked... The lyrics are like reading a 7th grader's livejournal, the music in general is way too sappy and whiny for my taste, and Chris Carrabba has this "I try way too hard to look cool" thing down to a T. There's my position, now you tell me why it's so great. :P
June 25, 200422 yr I didn't say they were great, I only said I like them. Maybe they're cheesy but I think they're cool. :P
June 25, 200421 yr http://romanticmovies.about.com/od/spiderman2/a/spidercc062204.htm Christopher Carrabba on Contributing to "Spider-Man 2" From the World Premiere of "Spider-Man 2" INTERVIEW WITH CHRISTOPHER CARRABBA OF DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL: You wrote a song specifically for the soundtrack of "Spider-Man 2?" I did, I did. How did you get inspired? Well, I watched the movie and it was inspiring. (Laughing) It was as simple as that. It’s such a good movie, it’s such a good story, and the conflict that the characters are all going through is kind of universal. I mean, we’re not superheroes but we all live challenging lives somehow or another. And coming of age and also falling in love and proving yourself to yourself – and proving yourself to someone you love – those are the themes that I took from the movie, as far as the song goes. I couldn’t do an action song so… Plus, it wasn’t hard for me to be inspired. Kirsten Dunst is just gorgeous. I’m inspired by her, she’s a great actress. The tension and the love story between the two were easy to believe. How do you feel about being on the soundtrack of a blockbuster movie such as this? Very humble. It’s kind of a dream come true. The fact that anybody thought about us [made this] a unique experience in my life. The soundtrack to the first “Spider-Man” was huge. Do you expect this one to be as big? I think it’s a different kind of soundtrack. I think it will probably be pretty big, because it’s got Spider-Man on the cover (laughing). But it’s definitely a different thing, so who’s to know? You can’t expect that kind of thing to happen twice. It was such a good song and such a huge thing, and it was a moment in time. Who knows if we’ll get that. But I did get Spider-Man in my video, so that much I got. It doesn’t have to sell a gazillion records. How did you get hooked up with the soundtrack in the first place? I happen to have a fan in the company that started championing me to the director and the producers, and soon they all were asking. And it was great. And the rest is history. Yeah, and it was a really great pinnacle of history in my personal history (laughing).
