On the DVD version of 'Daylight' you can hear his voice v.clearly on the 'slowly breaking through the daylight' bit and it's really good! :stunned:

i love jonny's voice in 'don't panic'. it's so sweet and calming. i think that if he were to be the singer of coldplay i'd still probably like them just as much.

same with Will. He's also got a great voice.

It wouldn't sound like Coldplay if one of the others sang though, Chris's voice is distinctive and makes up part of their sound, I think.

I actually agree with you, like if jonny was going to start singing now then it would sound really different, but if another one of them was singing from the start we wouldn't really know how great chris' voice is and it would sound like coldplay cuz we wouldn't know any better. that's what I was trying to say.

 

I mean if they were to switch now I'd definitely say no way, chris should be the singer.

The backing vocals by both Jonny and will add a lot to the songs live, they add a lot more texture, they harmonise well with Chris. Its good to see them taking the lead for a few tiny bits too.
