Classical Music is underrated

Featured Replies

hmm...i can play Fur Elise, but i've not played it in a really long time..i was taught it when i was younger...i don't really like it. :/

I dont think classical music is under-rated by young people, its just, not rated at all. If it was given a chance by some young people they might enjoy it, but thats not going to happen anytime soon.

^^^ I Agree with that...Also

Composers like Bach and Beethoven could write a million pieces on the spot, by Corelli put individual effort and distinct originality and creativity into each one of his pieces

that is similar to what i was meaning..in how there is alot of composed music by the well known composers, but alot of it is over-rated, and is seen as being great, just because they HAD wrote great pieces.

although, this goes on today too, and Oasis are a perfect example. coz (i think) they have wrote some really great songs...but, just because they had a few good albums..alot of their fans think every album they do is better than anyway...although, i'm not saying ALL fans...i'm just going off a couple of my friends are like. :D They say they're the best, but whenever i go to their house, they never have their recent albums on.

(that's enough of MY rubish :artist: )

What exactly is classical music?

:o

I enjoy classical music!! I can play Fur elise almost on the piano! its fun!! hee hee

i could used to be able to play 'stairway to heaven' by led zeppelin on piano. but alas i forgot everything about piano except for Middle C.

I particularly enjoy listening to Debussy (Clair de Lune, Arabesque, L'apres Midi d'un Faune), but also enjoy a few others such as Satie, Shostakovich, Mozart and plenty more.

Although my main instrument is the electric guitar, I did A level music so I'm classically trained in music theory. Sadly, I can safey say if I didn't do A level music then I probably wouldn't listen to classical music at all.

Still however, the vast majority of what I listen to isn't classical, but I do enjoy it and I entirely agree that more people should listen to it.

By normal people...no' date=' I'll put my emphasis on young people.[/quote']

because they have taste for only hard clashes and sounds that are not really music.

I fear it is becoming a lost art!

Classical Gas is classical......right?

Coz that's just the best song ever.

And I started learning the bum bum bum buuuuuuummm....... bum bum bum buuuuuuuummmm...... song on guitar. You know, the Beethoven one. It's something like "5th Symphony, 2nd movement" (someone tell me if I'm right.)

I'm sure if I was exposed to more classical music i would love it.

i am sure too

maybe then you can translate

bum bummm bummmity bum

into notes

:laugh2:
