I mentioned yesterday, nothing is really expected to happen today with major live dates happening at the end of the week, oh how that proved to be wrong! Coldplay made a surprise visit to the BBC Radio 1 studios just after mid-day in London where they performed Magic and Oceans which was heard for the first time to those who did not attend the secret shows (which is pretty much all of us!). Coldplay's week started off with a bang as they released the album version of Midnight and the official remix by Giorgio Moroder. It was proceeded by a chart explosion which was aided by the instant grat downloads from those who had pre-ordered Ghost Stories that resulted in Midnight topping the ITunes charts of over 53 countries.   The Ghost Stories campaign is pretty much underway and it is expected to blow full steam ahead from Friday where it is likely we will hear new songs off the album

Coldplay have released Midnight to the UK ITunes store just after err...midnight! with US ITunes set to follow shortly. An official single has also been released (through Parlophone records - confirmed) for the remix of the track by Giorgio Moroder. The remix is 8 minutes and 38 seconds long! Coldplay have posted 6 new dates for intimate shows around the world on their website this morning.   Taken from www.coldplay.com :   Good morning. The band have announced that they will mark the release of their new album, Ghost Stories, by playing six intimate shows in six cities around the world. Coldplay fans are very observant, any sort of developments are quickly picked up on. Australian breakfast TV show 'Sunrise' have released an exclusive live performance of Magic by Coldplay.
