I somehow doubt that the 1st disc will be Oldplay tbh. Still think we're getting a new sound from them, somewhere between classical/Middle Eastern/jazz/Viva on disc 1 and a blend of more modern influences (but still a new sound) on disc 2. To me it reads as if both might come out on a Nov 22, btw. Note that the year is not specified in the letter. However, due to the leap year it would be a Sunday next time round. I wonder if that is possible.

I think this is for real ! So what do you think the music will be like ? A journey through music of different places and decades over the last 100 years ?

Agree about Oceans. That song and Midnight and Ghost Story are my favourites from that era. Midnight doesn't sound like Oldplay but it's still a great song. Although the cool parts in it were all done by Jon Hopkins, not Coldplay (I was a bit disappointed back when I learnt that). Btw, LOVE to see some activity in this thread again ! :heart:
