  1. Oh cool ! I love your channel :) We once talked on the YT comments of another video about the SNL 2005 performance, but then the video was deleted. Do you have that file ?
  2. Congrats !Are you also "breanchu" on Youtube ?
  3. Agree. Their ballads pre-Viva were so good but the latter ones have been really disappointing (looking at you, Everglow...)
  4. Guns is explicit though, so definitely not an instrumental
  5. Welcome to the forum !
  6. So the mysterious shot in the dark has been revealed to have been in Central Park, NY, by Chris on a radio interview. The video is so wholesome and made me appreciate the song more, although the contrast of the joyfulness of the music and their smiles etc contrasting with the dark, dark lyrics about a warzone still alienate me. I'd love to see an all-acoustic version.
  7. One week later and I'm still not sure how to feel about this song. It's not the music I'm concerned with - yes, it is very poppy, somewhere between MX and AHFOD but at least with good production -but the lyrics. Maybe it's just me but it so doesn't feel right to say "she went Woo woo, woo woo oooh...bombs going boom ba boom boom" I understand the joyfulness is celebrating orphan kids who make the best of their lives in warzones and don't lose hope, but still...I can't help feeling the lyrics trivialize a deadly conflict (add to that the line "back and get drunk with my friends"). On the other hand, the whole narrative doesn't seem to fit together. We first hear about a girl/young woman, then about a father, then the perspective changes to orphan kids ("Guess we'll be raised on our own then...") and it's hard to understand from the lyrics whether the girl and the father are dead or not, and in which relation they are to the orphans. Tl;dr: it feels too joyful for such dark lyrics and makes me feel uncomfortable But maybe this is exactly what the song is supposed to convey.
  8. Well, in the promo video (see post above)there were only Chris and Jonny...

Reading Jonny with beard or Jonny without beard ?
  10. The title does give me Western/Cemeteries of London vibes...
  11. I wonder if only Jonny and Chris will be there, or if it was just for promo and the rest of the band will appear too.
  12. Diamonds ate the RADIO
  13. That's interesting that you say that cause Arabesque reminded me immediately of Arcade Fire's Reflektor (but is imho better than Reflektor). I'm still waiting for Coldplay to release something like Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)...such a great song.
  14. They did. It said so on the official Coldplay.com website.

Welcome to Coldplaying ! And I'm sure they'll do a few shows somewhere during the LP8 Era, like for GS - maybe you're lucky enough to be able to attend one!
  16. Wishing you good luck. If I still lived in the US, I'd be doing this for sure :) Fond memories of the Today show in 2016...
  17. Happy Halloween. Remember that Coldplaying used to celebrate Ghost Story Day for two years or so ?
  18. Yeah it was postponed to Friday morning apparently. And just generally - I'm way way way behind with reading and commenting all the forum activity. So many Coldplay news these days, so much work and so little time for me.
  19. This is something I hope will NEVER happen ! :)

    Welcome to the Forum !
  21. I sure would ! A guitar owned and played by Jonny would be so much better though. My dream is actually to one day (maybe in 10 years or so) get one, but I daresay it's very difficult/unrealistic.
  22. I like to imagine a really fast-paced shoegaze number with the only lyrics being "cry cry cry" repeated over and over again :D
  23. The fact that the song title is visibly broken through the capital E could be a simple emphasis to being "broken"...
  24. From the vibes it gives off yes, but I don't think it's the same song
