I think VLV was originally going to be a more colorful album since the original track listing had Rainy Day and Glass of Water rather than their darker songs from VLV.

If they are almost done with the album, then I would have expected a single. I remember when I Bet My Life by Imagine Dragons came out 5 months b4 Smoke + Mirrors (The Album) was released.

Jesus... There's so many negative comments on Rihanna in POC. If you didn't know it was Rihanna singing in it, then all of you wouldn't be saying this. She doesn't make the song bad. She is a great vocalist (There are reasons on why people become famous) If Rihanna or some other pop star that aren't as bad as they seem was on Viva La Vida, then all of you would despise it. The only reason I dislike POC is because its overproduced and Chris' vocals could have been better. But, Rihanna was outstanding in POC and fit the theme perfectly.

Nah, Midnight was just a darker "The Escapist." On the other hand, it hasn't been confirmed that Stargate are the producers. There could be other Norwegian producers. Stargate may have actually just been offered by Angelina Jolie to work with Coldplay when they did Miracles. We just have to wait and see what the album will turn out to be.

I can see the logo being the same as GS since AHFOD is the day, so it could be like a series.

Midnight, to me, was just Chris singing and Jon Hopkin's work layered over. Indeed, it was quite different, but not very innovative. Also, AHFOD being poppy, to me, is unlikely. Just becaouse MX was poppy doesn't any future albums will be. Remember, every album CP makes is different.

Yeah IKR. I always thought it needed something more. This was indeed an experimentation. It just felt like it was directed at a different genre.
