marty already has his own band who have opened for bands such as interpol and other quite famous acts on tour - now because of marty's exposure on rockstar inxs, his band will definitely come through, and i think it's better that marty did not win the competition as he would have been pigeonholed into inxs's style of music and personally i don't think marty suited it (although he was my fav). i think he will come out better coming second - he sings modern songs better than the classics, and i really didn't see inxs singing a song like 'trees'. GO MARTYYYYYYYYY :) :cool:

so you're saying that the whole of inxs should have killed their own music because of michael hutchence? he was not the only member and it is unfair to say inxs was ONLY inxs because of hutchence. it was by no means a solo effort, there were 5 other talented members in that band and they should not have to suffer because of michael's death. if they want to move on, then let them move on with life. they still respect michael and his contribution to the band and they've stated that michael's presence and contribution will always be a part of inxs. :cool:
