It's probably him. I remember in a video "The Making of A Sky Full of Stars" he said he was listening to "constant Katy Perry" and he said something about how the song is better because of a "melody" or "upbeat-ness" or something like that (basically poppiness) which was their inspiration for ASFOS. Not sure if it was the entire band or just Chris (likely Chris) but if it weren't for that Katy Perry spree, we probably would've gotten a less synthed-up ASFOS w/o Avicii.

That's a tough decision (i don't even like either) but I'd remove GS. At least MX could make up for itself by playing the songs live. Safety EP cover vs Strawberry Swing cover

I'd say Chris could promote himself as a solo artist, release AOAL, no one will notice that Coldplay did it.

The song with Tove Lo (Fun) is probably the next POC or ASFOS. Of all the female artists alive, why did it have to be Tove Lo? they could've maybe featured the singer from Echosmith or the one from PVRIS or this band!

It's not a good Coldplay song. It's not a good song either. It was definitely better than what I thought, but it's still really not great. It's too repetitive (irony: "it's") and the lyrics are not so great. If Coldplay were still experimenting and recovering from MX and GS, I think they've gone too far now. The only way this song can even shine is live. Coldplay have devolved from one of the greatest bands into just another typical pop band, which is really saying something about the music industry.
